Risky Business

It's the beginning of what's for sure to be a great getaway. Larry and Laurent have been in the car for the past two hours on their way to a cabin recently purchased by an extremely wealthy uncle who invited some extended family. They couldn't be more excited as this is not only a getaway for them and a small break from their hectic but amazing career, they also get to see their abundance of nieces and nephews as there will be all sorts of activities to do with them that they're looking forward to. Going out on the lake, taking walks on the nature trail, grilling out then sitting around a campfire making s'mores for dessert. Time with family is always something they look forward to, though the uncle who invited them does feel a way about Larry and Laurent's marriage for reasons most would have a problem with it. He did decide to deal with it for a few days as he also knows it wouldn't be right to exclude them because their nieces and nephews adore the two of them and want to see them too. The ride up has been calming and blissful. The scenery alongside the road is gorgeous and they've enjoyed merely talking and laughing with each other. They also expressed how excited they are to see everyone and are thankful that their uncle allowed them to come even though he does have a strong adversity to their union. Mama will also be there who's already there and traveled with their sister. Life truly cannot get any better than this. Insanely in love and married. Flourishing careers with nothing but full support from most of their family and all of their friends. They eventually arrive and are immediately floored by the cabin before their eyes. It isn't a typical small cabin in the woods. It can easily be seen as a luxurious mansion cabin. It has a huge yard. The lake streams for miles and has a docking station with boats. They imagine it has at least 6 bedrooms and it's also beautifully designed on the outside so they're excited to see what it looks like inside. They retrieve their bags from the trunk and begin heading towards the steps that lead to the front door. Laurent is behind Larry and begins to tickle him prompting giggles from Larry who playfully tells him to stop. When they're at the door they notice it's locked so Larry rings the bell and seconds later they see their beautiful mama opening it for them. They step in and wrap her up in a hug and give her a kiss on the cheek. Shortly after their sister comes so they receive each other with hugs and kisses as well. Mama then asks how their drive was in which they looked at each other and replied with smiles, "perfect" then begin holding hands. They're told that their nieces and nephews are in the backyard and they've been happily waiting for them and even asked when they will be here. This makes Larry and Laurent's heart flutter and they're about to go out and surprise them when their uncle, Clarence, came in to see what all the sweet voices were about. He sees Larry and Laurent, who don't see him as yet, holding hands and his eyes lock on it for a few seconds before slowly raising his eyes to look at them again. Seconds later they do notice him so they greet him with warm smiles...but those smiles quickly fade when they see the look on his face so Larry asks, "is something wrong uncle Clarence"? The silence is deafening so they all look at each other very confused. He then speaks up...

Clarence: "There's been a change of plans". *pause* "You and Laurent are going to sleep in separate rooms".

Naturally this feels like a gut punch to Larry and Laurent because they can't imagine not falling asleep next to each other...

Larry: "Why? I thought you were oki with us now".

Clarence: "No. I said I would deal with it because the kids want to see you, but I don't want them to see...."

Laurent: "To see what"?

Clarence: "To see...this. You two holding hands, possibly kissing in front of them".

Larry: "Oki so we won't do any of that in front of them but why do have to sleep in separate rooms? They won't know because they will be asleep".
