"In life, we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one will ever fill."

                                Miles P.O.V.

3 months and 7 days.

That's how long it'd been since his parent's death.

3 months and 7 days and it still felt like his whole world had been ripped from underneath him.

Like nothing would ever be the same again and maybe that's because it wouldn't. It couldn't. Not anymore.

3 months and 7 days and Miles didn't think he'd ever be able to provide what his siblings needed as his parents had.

He didn't get an option to grieve. To try and process.

There would never be enough time to even come close to thinking about it. He had to keep going not for him, for his family.

A piercing cry cut through the air making Miles want to cry himself. Looks like Reggie was up. He hopped out of bed without a second thought moving over to the crib which he'd move into his bedroom.

It made it a tight fit but Miles didn't care it was just easier this way. Besides he couldn't stand the thought to keep the crib in his parent's bedroom. He'd been in there once since there death's and that was only to get the crib.

He quickly picked up Reggie before Willow could stir in bed.

His two youngest siblings had taken over his bedroom with him.

He couldn't tell them no. They were mourning the loss of there parent's they needed him more then ever now.

"Good morning Reggie," He hummed holding his younger brother tight to his chest as he slinked out of the room. Truthfully he was glad Reggie had woke up. Miles had been up for hours due to his night terrors.

Ye of little sleep for the second eldest Lightwood child.

He moved down the stairs with ease going into the downstairs bathroom so he could change his younger brother's diaper.

Reggie stopped crying and instead was now yawning leaning his head on Miles's shoulder.

His little brother was the cutest thing. Even if he could be a punk. Changing his diaper with a practiced ease Miles made sure to throw Reggie's onesie in his laundry basket letting his brother stay in just a diaper.

He didn't need to have to change Reggie twice because he spilt breakfast all over his clothes. Miles let out a yawn as he carried his brother out of the bathroom careful not to trip on the toys that coated the floor.

"Good morning bubba," Miles placed a kiss on his brother's cheek laying him down on the mat in the living room. Quickly moving to kneel next to his brother. "Morning! Morning!"

Reggie let out a series of giggles smiling widely. And even though Miles was tired he couldn't help but smile back.

There were a few things still worth living for.

His brothers smile was at the top of the list.

He quickly set his brother up in the playpen in the living room. Placing Reggie's favorite brown stuffed bunny beside him. Reggie was quick to find entertainment in his toys making sure to keep Miles in view. Miles stood up eyeing their living room.

It was a mess.

Clothes were thrown everywhere along with toys. Miles sighed as he scooped up plates that were left on the table. The twins must have stayed up late.
