'I know it's just one night. But it's the first night you'll spend so far away from me for more than 12 hours.' That was important. Something could happen, and it was true, he was going to his father's, but still... What if he needed her for... something?

It was true he was already sleeping through the night. So he should be fine, and she was just one phone call away.

Evet, it would be fine. She sighed.

'Evet, oğlum. He's really back, in all his glory. I'm trying my best to keep my distance, but the truth is I love that we get to see him every night. Then he picks you up and my heart explodes inside my chest, you know, Iso? You love him too, so you understand me. Right? You might be the only one who does... The king came back, baby, and mommy was caught again.'

He was growing so fast, she was so lucky that she'd got her strength back as quickly as she did. He was going to be walking soon, it'll be a new challenge and she didn't want to miss anything, so she was going to stop avoiding Ömer whenever he wanted to speak about more than the bare minimum. She wanted to be involved in his work daycare idea. She loved what she did and wanted to keep doing it, and he was building his business all over again, they both had pretty important jobs, but it all came after Iso, naturally.

Therefore, this nursery was a priority. She just needed to keep herself on her toes around him. She was different now, more mature, she had Iso as the biggest focus of her life, he depended on her to do her best. And she would.

There were no more lies now. They could be as honest as possible with each other, which could be both good and not so good. It was all so confusing. She simply wanted to live a life that was not as messy as her last 2 years had been, surely that wasn't too much to ask.

She felt a little hand holding on to her thumb and looked down, it was uncanny how much his eyes were just like his father's.

'It's so scary and intense because sometimes I swear he can read my mind, anneciğim. It is not fair, it's as if he knows that my mind thinks of him. He wants me to 'give up'... and admit that I still love him, I don't know how much more I can take. My mind and my heart are in a little bit of a disagreement right now. We're in uncharted waters, my son.' She smiled at him, who would she talk to about the things in her heart if he wasn't here? She hoped he'd grow up and rely on her the same way she does with him.
