Bittersweet Mate bond

His wolf

The next day, I woke up with a little headache. I got ready and went to the dining room to eat breakfast with my family. My mother looked at me concerned. There is nothing I can hide from her. I gave her a small reassuring smile.
I went to the kitchen. There I met with two middle age women. They are the only shewolf I have seen since I came here. They were making breakfast.

"Hello luna, I am Anna and this is charlie. We make food for the pack members."
"Hello Anna and Charlie, do you mind to answer a few questions."
They both nod their head yes.
"How many women are around here in the pack."
"We have a total of 20 women, 16 of them are mated and 4 are unmated." Charlie answered.
"Okay" i said and went to the dining room to eat breakfast with my family. A lot of people from the darkwood pack came and introduced their selves.

After breakfast I went out for a run. My wolf has been restless recently and she also need to have her own time to settle with things.
We ran around the pack for hours. Darkwood pack is a big and beautiful pack. I ran and ran until I saw every place in the pack. It was almost evening when I reached the pack house.

The beta was standing by the front door looking like a girl in periods.
"Where were you luna. I was looking for you all around the pack".
"Umm I went for a run David. What's the matter?"
"Actually the alpha want you to shift into his house". He said with a little hesitation.
" I see, where is his house" I asked calmly.
"Not far luna, I have bought some things  for you from the city with help of Charlie. They are in the alpha house."
"Okay then lead the way" I said with a small smile.

We reached the alpha house in 5 minutes. It is not far from the pack house which is a good thing. It was a two storey building.
David opened the gate for me and then bid goodbye.
The interior was nice. But it clearly missed a famine touch. The walls were painted black and grey. And then I saw him sitting on the couch sipping wine.
He was observing me. His clear brown eyes held curiosity. My wolf started getting excited but I put a straight face. I can't let him know my emotions.

"Good evening alpha" I said timidly.
"Where were you?" His voice was deep.
"I was looking around the pack. Umm you have a beautiful pack" I said avoiding eye contact.
"Now it is our pack. You are the luna now so behave like one. You will not wonder on your own from now on."
"What if my wolf want to go for a run". I asked concerned.
"Well then you can take permission from me or David. Am I clear?".
"Yes" I said looking into his eyes.
He gave me a cunning smile and said,"go upstairs, the room on the right is your room."
And like that I ran upstairs. I can't be in his presence for any longer. Sometimes I want to believe that he is just pretending. And that he actually have feelings for me but what a wishful thinking.

I opened the door of my room. It was a big beautiful room with white curtains, sheets and wall paint. I love the room. I took a shower. Every thing was available there like David said. But who told him to bring these things for me? I thought.
Maybe Simon has told them.. maybe he really cares but afraid to show it. Maybe I should try to understand him.

After shower, I went to have dinner downstairs. The kitchen was big and Anna was there cooking food.
"Hey anna" I greeted her.
"Hello luna, alpha is waiting for you in the dining room" she said with a very concerned face.
I nodd and went to the dining room.
There he was waiting for me. I took a seat very far from where he was sitting.
"Did you like your room."
"Yes the room is very big and beautiful." I said with a small grateful smile.
We had our dinner without any further conversation. It was not awkward silence. I don't speak much so I enjoyed the comfortable silence.
"Good night". I said and went back to my room. I climb into my bed and the last of my thoughts were, what will happen tomorrow.

The next day went normally with me watching tv and talking to Anna. I didn't met him at breakfast as I was late for it.

In the night after dinner, I went to my room. The whole day I was dreading this moment. I gave it a thought and have come to a conclusion that I will calmly talk to him that I need some more time. This is the only thing I can do at this point.

The front door opened. I can hear everything from here. He had his dinner and went to his room. I took a breath of relief. Maybe he has changed his mind. Maybe he doesn't want a luna now.
But suddenly my door opened. I jolt back from the bed in a sitting position.
There he was standing by the door. His eyes were black showing that his wolf was in command. I have never had a conversation with his wolf so I don't know what to say or how to tell him that I don't want this.
I climbed down the bed and stood in the far corner. "Alpha, I don't think I am-"
In a Instant he was in front of me with his  one finger on my lips.
