Bittersweet Mate bond

Happy Endings

I believe in happy endings even if the characters fall apart,
I believe that there is something good after the sad part.

Selena POV
I stood there shocked. I always wanted a mate bond like my parents. I wished for someone kind, caring and loving but there he was standing in front of me crushing my dreams with his bare hands.
All the women looked at me with fear in their eyes. Some of them started crying. I looked at him once again with tears clear in my blue eyes. But I can't let it happen to the people I love. My father used to tell you, you have to be strong for someone someday. I guess that day has come.
" I refuse" I said walking forward right in front of him.
"And who are you?" He asked with amusement in his eyes.
Your mate,I wanted to say but I couldn't. My wolf is whimpering seeing his mate not recognising us.
I took a deep breath and said," I am Selena Westwood,the beta's daughter of silverwood pack".
" I see, you have got his bravery in you selena" he said with a straight face.
" Who are you to tell me What to do" he told me with mock clear in his voice.
" These are my people alpha, and I won't let them be your slaves."
" Slaves or rogues.. choose wisely mate as it is now non negotiable"
Everyone started murmuring, as they cannot believe that this cruel alpha finally found his mate. Their shock is  understandable as it is said that Alpha Simon's beast is very dangerous and he didn't wanted a mate.
"Slaves" I said with tears in my eyes. No one can win again his tyrant ways. I have to help my people as they rely on me now.
" But I have one condition, release all our men from your cells as we will serve you well alpha and it is non negotiable. It will not benefit you if we go rogue as we have some unmated she wolf and they can be mates to your unmated soldiers " I said with clear determination. I knew he would not refuse that because the number of shewolf in his pack is very less and a lot of his soldiers are unmated.
"Very well then, Take them to the pack house" he said and with a sinister smile then disappeared among the trees.
We went to the pack house and met with our men. Some of them are injured. " Why did you do it my daughter, we would have died than to serve him as slaves" My father said with tears in his eyes.
" No father, don't say that. What will happen to all the mated shewolf if you all will die dad. you have to think about our friends and family. We are alive and have a chance to live with our loved ones."
" You are such a beautiful person selena. I am very proud of you dear" saying this Father hugged me. " I love you too dad".
Then we went to our alloted rooms.
The pack house was huge and filled with men. It was known that there are very less shewolf in this pack. But seeing only men around was so different.

Some of our shewolf found their mate in the pack house and went with their mate. I am happy for them but in the back of my mind, I knew I will not have that happy endings.
