The club meeting had ended and everyone was walking out of the school together. Once they reached the sidewalk they stopped for a moment before splitting up, going their seperate ways to go home. But as rantaro made his way to his house something grabbed his arm. He spun around only to see the club leader staring into his eyes with a mildly disappointed expression "I can't believe you forgot!" He exclamed. Rantaro knew he wasn't usually the type to forget things easily so this news was a suprise to him "forgot what?" The leader put his hands on his hips and puffed a cheek with mild annoyance before explaining "You didn't read with me today so now you have to spend extra time with me as punishment remember?" "I don't remember agreeing to that-" "Shush! No one refuses an offer from the supreme leader! Now come on I want ice cream"

The small boy smiled before switching directions away from rantaro's house and towards the local ice cream shop "you want ice cream in autumn?" "Ice cream is good any time of year I'll eat ice cream in winter if I want too!" Rantaro found the concept funny and let out a small snicker "let me guess you drink hot chocolate in summer too?" "Ew! No" He cried before sticking his tongue out "hot chocolate's nasty! It's always so watery and gross" "If you don't want it to be watery just use milk instead of water" Kokichi stared at the greenette like he just killed his family. Rantaro immediately got the feeling that he screwed up "uh....nevermind"

He brightened up as they passed the train station. They were getting close to the store and kokichi could feel it in his bones "hey do you know why kaito is so quiet" Rantaro asked to fill the silence between them "Who? Oh the space nerd...i don't know actually I've been meaning to ask him about it but I keep forgetting.....i hope everything's okay...." He seemed to have a genuine look of concern on his face. Rantaro had never seen this expression on his face before so it startled him quite a bit but just as quickly as it appeared it was replaced with a carefree smile "eh I'm sure it's nothing" He said as he passed rantaro a note

Rantaro said nothing but nodded silently to show that he understood. It was quiet for a moment before they reached the store "we're here! Finally!" "You aren't going to make me pay are you?" "Pfft no of course not who do you think I am!" He said as he pushed on the silver door. They both heard the ringing of a bell as they stepped inside. The girl working the counter immediately brightened up as she looked at kokichi. She had black crazy hair pulled back in a ponytail and she painted her uniform black, pink and blue like the streaks in her hair "hey little dude what's up" She greeted with a bright smile. Kokichi greeted her back "Hey ibuki!" Rantaro waved a little and the girl returned the gesture happily "You know her? Who is she?" Kokichi smiled "oh this is ibuki mioda, the ultimate musician she's one of our upperclassmen"

"You know....you guys are like the only people to come in today in fact this little dude is our only business when it's colder" She placed her hand on kokichi's head and ruffled his hair. The small boy didn't look like he minded at all. Rantaro looked at them with a smile, finding their brother-sister like relationship very cute "i'm not mad that we have to stay open for you....the big man is pissed though" They both snickered "anyway what do you two want today?" She said as she returned behind the counter "uh green tea flavored milk shake if it isn't too much" She wrote down the boys order before turning her attention to kokichi

"hmmm....i'm feeling like a float....you got any panta?"
"You bet we do! Flavor of ice cream?" "Cotton candy"

She smiled before going into the back. She returned with one milkshake and one float. "Thanks....how much?" Kokichi asked. Ibuki shot rantaro a smile before saying "eh it's on the house" "Really? Thanks"

As the two were about to leave Ibuki stopped kokichi. She whispered a few things to him before handing him a small blue package. The boy looked confused "why did you give me a condo-" He paused for a second before his face was as red as a tomato "IBUKI!" "Hehe I'm just kidding little dude stay safe you two"

Kokichi huffed before grabbing rantaro by the hand and dragging him out of the shop, with a harsh blush still stained on his face. They stopped a few steps away from the ice cream shop "I guess this is where we split up...have a good one kokichi" "You too"
