He paused, reconsidering telling them. What if it ruined their friendship?...."before I say it....we'll still be friends right? No matter what I say?" "Of course!" "Y-yeah" "best friends" kokichi crossed his arms and looked mildly disappointed but it was clear the answer was yes even if he didn't say it out loud. "Okay...." Rantaro took a deep breath in and said.....
"....shuichi" the boy mentioned perked up "me? R...really?" The greenette nodded slowly. Shuichi broke into a wide smile, so bright it almost blinded everyone present. No one had ever seen shuichi that happy before not even shuichi. Tears of pure happiness ran down the boys face "shu....are you okay?" Rantaro asked as he got closer, wiping the tears off of his face "I'm sorry I'm j-just so happy! I've confessed to so many people and y-you're the first person to ever say yes! I thought I would be alone forever!" He stuttered happily. Rantaro glanced at the other males who were smiling. They seemed happy for both of them....except for kokichi who was keeping a strained and fake smile, trying to deny his jealousy.
Shuichi redirected the boys attention back on him "don't worry about them right now....i-its just you and me...." The boy smiled and wrapped his arms around rantaro, giving him a hug. Over shuichi's shoulder he could see their club leader returning into the school building and he couldn't help but wonder if he made the right choice.

From that day forwards the five boys remained inseparable....however it was abundantly clear that kokichi held a small grudge against shuichi that wouldn't go away no matter how much time passed.....
