CHAPTER 7

Y/N'S POV

The time for our dinner arrived so the same four girls as always are coming to Jihyo's room at the moment. As a costume that I created myself, we thank them before sucking their blood.

Once we have our dose, they clean their little wound and then leave again until next day. Jihyo and I are now alone inside her room.

-Jihyo: You always spend hours looking outside the window. Why?
-Y/N: I question our existence. Have your ever thought about the reason about why vampires last so long?
-Jihyo: Just because our bodies are superior-
-Y/N: There must be a purpose, Jihyo! (smiles) I believe that vampires have a better reason behind their existence. As well as for humans, they aren't just mod we use.
-Jihyo: (smiles) I like the vision you have. What's our purpose?
-Y/N: Hmm, I don't know... Guess we'll need to find it.
-Jihyo: Let's look for it together (smiles) My only purpose is staying with you (back hugs me) I'll turn you into a king, the vampire King. I'll give the whole world if it's necessary, Y/N.
-Y/N: (chuckles) I appreciate your feelings. But you know, I'm still against you in some aspects.
-Jihyo: (rolls her eyes) Why do you have to ruin the mood like this?
-Y/N: Jihyo, don't take it personal but I'll stand against you and return the world to humans once you give it to me.
-Jihyo: Now you are talking with the truth... Huh? (sighs) It hurts.
-Y/N: (smiles) That doesn't mean that I won't love you, though. I'll be eternally thankful to you despite your mistakes.
-Jihyo: Y/N, why do you need to care so much about humans?
-Y/N: Because every life matter, Jihyo. You have parents and enjoy a normal life despite your position. But humans are sold like mere mercancy. We don't know where do we come from. We have no idea if we'll die because of a vampire or not... Do you know how scaring is it? You should had gone through the same I went. I promise you that having thousand eyes looking at you like meat is not enjoyable.
-Jihyo: (looks down) I'm sorry.
-Y/N: You don't need to apologise, words can't help. Just try to be a human for a day and you'll understand it (smiles) I understood everything the day you opened my eyes. We are exactly the same, damn. We should have the same rights, I'm sure that there's another way of living together without the owner-slave relationship.
-Jihyo: (takes a deep breath) Nothing can't be changed, Y/N. Get used to be a human and forget about those ideas. That perfect world doesn't exist.
-Y/N: How are you so sure about it? We haven't tried yet (looks at her)
-Jihyo: You should leave to your room, tomorrow we will be having that excursion to the generators.
-Y/N: (nods and pecks her forehead) Goodnight.
-Jihyo: Goodnight (without looking at you)

I return back to my room and lay in my bed, cause yeah even vampires need to sleep. The next day soon at morning, Sana and Momo enter to my room while holding a glass of blood.

-Sana: Morning~~ (smiles)
-Momo: Here you go (smiles and hands me the glass)
-Y/N: Morning (drinks the blood) What time is it?
-Sana: Nearly 9:30, why?
-Y/N: I'm having an excursion with Jihyo, to the generators (smiles while doing the V sign)
-Momo: You did it! (hugs you)
-Sana: (jumps around) We can definitely stray trusting you more now! (jokes)
-Momo: What did you have to offer in exchange though?
-Y/N: Oh uhm... I own her a date and kisses (yawns) I can manage that.
-Sana: Is sad how you are forcing love, it shouldn't be done that way.
-Y/N: Don't get me wrong, Jihyo isn't that bad neither (smiles) She has a nice side that can be shown from time to time (scratches your nape) Guess you never saw her that way, right?
-Momo: (mumbles) She's a monster.
-Sana: Yeah, totally. All the vampires are... (hugs herself) I'm getting chills just by thinking about her.
-Momo: Don't get offended Y/N, you are the best vampire we know (chuckles)
-Sana: Yeah, even though you can get scary sometimes (smiles)

They call her a monster and they are laughing about it. But why am I so pissed about it? They say not to get offend but how the hell can I stay still when they are criticising without knowing?

-Y/N: She's not a monster, not all vampires how you think they are. Jihyo along Dahyun and some others are the sweetest. But what can we expect from weak humans with fragile thoughts? (laughs) Are you afraid? Don't get offended for calling you scaredy cat.
-Both:...
-Y/N: What? I believe its wrong to criticise somehow who isn't here to defend themselves. Girls, they aren't monsters. Actually we are pretty much the same (smiles) I'll prove that to everyone.
-Momo: (gulps) We don't say the opposite.
-Sana: Y-Yeah, Jihyo is probably the sweetest (fake laughs) U-Uhm, you should leave already or you'll be late.
-Y/N: You are right.

I rush to the bathroom in order to wash myself and get ready for my meeting with Jihyo. I'm sorry for how did I talk to Momo and Sana, but they need to understand me. I belong to both sides, humans and vampires. I don't like how they insult each others without trying to get along.

If Jihyo is right and I ever get to become the next king, I'll make sure to change such hierarchy. Humans and vampires should be placed in the same spot with the same rights. And only then we will be able to have a peaceful life with a great balance.

-Y/N: Good morning (smiles)
-Jihyo: Morning~ Did you have a good sleep?
-Y/N: (nods)
-Jihyo: (smiles and takes your hand) Let's have fun today. You are privileged cause barely anyone can see what you are about to (chuckles)
-Y/N: Thank you (smiles) I'll make it up to you.
-Jihyo: You surely will (smiles)
