CHAPTER 12

Y/N'S POV

I look at my watch and its 22:00 pm, we have two hours until vampires dinner time arrive. We need to be fast since we need to return back to the room on time.

-Cook: Here, your part. Have a nice meal.
-Y/N: Thank you (smiles)
-Cook: Hey, have we seen each other before?
-Y/N: Huh? (laughs nervously) I-I don't think so. I arrived not too much ago as a new slave.
-Sana: Yeah, he comes from the same residence I stayed in when I was a kid. We know each other since so long ago (puts an arm around you) Today it's his first day.
-Cook: Oh, you should had told me then! (smiles) I'll give you the special dessert as a welcoming.
-Y/N: Thank you (smiles and bows)

I look at the red jelly on my tray along a plate of mashed potatoes with sausages and a glass of water. Apparently, anyone would say that it looks delicious. When I was a human this was my favourite, but now... I want to vomit just by smelling it.

-Momo: Let's head to that empty table (smiles while pointing a spot)

We follow Momo to the table and take a sit while looking around, for the moment, no one recognised me. They both start eating while I struggle to raise the spoon... I force myself to swallow naturally though I'm dying.

-Sana: Are you okay?
-Y/N: This is harder than what I imagined (sighs)
-Momo: I can help you a little (smiles and steals two sausages) What? It's delicious for me.
-Y/N: Thank you, Momo (smiles) By the way, do you know if any here is part of the Bird organisation?
-Sana: (looking around) Do you see that shortie next to the tall girl?
-Y/N: (nods)
-Sana: She was really close to Mina, they were seen together multiple times. But I don't know if she's part of the organisation or not.
-Y/N: I see... (takes the jelly)
-Momo: Yah, you can't eat it. Where are you bringing it? (pouts) I can eat it for you.
-Y/N: Sorry Momoring, I'll use it to start a conversation with them (smiles) Wait for me here.
-Sana: Y/N, take care. Try not to be obvious, okay?
-Y/N: (nods) Don't worry.

I head towards the table where the short girl and the tall one are and take a seat across them. They look at me with a poker face.

-Y/N: Hi (smiles) How are you?
-Girl 1: Good I guess (smiles showing off her dimples)
-Girl 2: I haven't seen you before, who are you?
-Y/N: Oh, forgive my modals (chuckles) I'm Y/N, number 034.
-Girl 1: Chaeyoung, 09.
-Girl 2: And I'm Tzuyu, 105.
-Y/N: Nice to meet you (smiles) So, uhm... You know, since I'm new the guy serving the food gave me this jelly. And I don't like it, neither my friends. I didn't want to throw it, so... Do you want it?
-Chaeyoung: Are you sure? Barely anyone gets to eat jelly (smiles)
-Tzuyu: They are limited, some people say that it contains vampire blood and that's why it is so red.
-Y/N: What? That's absurd, the smell would be much notable if that was the case (smiles)
-Chaeyoung: You know how vampire blood smells like?
-Y/N: Oh n-no, I mean... Humans' blood smell a lot, so I supposed the same for vampires. But it isn't a fact or something like that, I'm not sure (smiles)
-Tzuyu: You are weird.
-Chaeyoung: Y/N, who do you serve?
-Y/N: Me? Oh well... I'm serving the princess.
-Tzuyu: Really?! Then you must know about the coward!
-Y/N: Eh? (confused)
-Chaeyoung: It's rumored that the last slave which was owned by the princess, became now her lover.
-Y/N: Really?! But is that possible?
-Tzuyu: (srughs) He gave her his humanity for an eternal life. How stupid can he be... (rolls her eyes)
-Y/N: Do you know him?
-Chaeyoung: Not, but one of our friends does...
-Y/N: Who? I mean, if I can ask of course (smiles)
-Tzuyu: Mina, she used to serve the Queen.
-Y/N: Ah I've heard about it, she's now locked on the Palace's cells, underground. Even more, I mean.
-Chaeyoung: Do you know her?!
-Y/N: Kinda... (smiles) She told me about Bird.
-Chaeyoung: As expected from Mina (smiles)
-Tzuyu: So, are you a Bird too?
-Y/N: No, not yet. What should I do to enter the organisation?
-Chaeyoung: Well, there's a meeting we have once a month near the generators place (smiles)
-Y/N: Really?
-Tzuyu: (nods) Apparently, there's another world on the surface which humans could live in safe from vampires (smiles) Isn't it amazing?
-Y/N: Yeah, totally (chuckles)

Suddenly, I start feeling something weird in my tummy. Shit, the food must be doing some kind of bad reaction.

-Chaeyoung: We are meeting next Saturday, meet us there (smiles) We'll bring you to the new world Y/N-
-Y/N: I'm sorry- (cover your mouth) Toilet! (runs away)

I run away from the dinner room and leave the human zone towards the bathrooms. Once there, I vomit everything while coughing. Gosh, what a headache and how dizzy I am...

-Sana: Are you okay?! (worried) We saw you suddenly running and we didn't know what was going on.
-Y/N: The food... I can't take it (sighs) It feels horrible.
-Momo: We told you, but you never listen to us (rolls her eyes) Is it worth, though?
-Y/N: (nods) They know about the slave who became a vampire, but they don't know that it is me. Also, they told me where they meet and when.
-Sana: So what are you gonna do now?
-Y/N: Now I'll return back to my room, take off all the make up and have my real dinner. Tomorrow we'll continue with the plan.
-Momo: Good idea, you are in a horrible state now.
-Sana: Try to hide from Jihyo tonight, we don't know how will she take the fact that you are conspiring against her.
-Y/N: It's not specially against her, but against vampires laws (smiles) She's good, and she's aware about what I'm doing. I told her that I would take revenge.
-Both: What?!
