PALE - Jihyo x Male Reader

CHAPTER 19

Y/N'S POV

I huge and sharp silence grows in the room as I finish proposing my crazy idea to her. She just looks into my eyes without forming a single word. What does that mean? Yes or no?

-Y/N: Jihyo I-
-Jihyo: (caress your cheek) I can't see any lie in your eyes, you are being honest about it.
-Y/N: Of course I am (pecks her hand) I want to be with you forever, but not here.
-Jihyo: Why not?
-Y/N: Because I need to run from my past so that I focus on my future with you (smiles) Let's explore outside vampireland, we deserve to be happy without any limit.
-Jihyo: I am the princess Y/N, who would be in charge of everything if I left?
-Y/N: Vampires are inmortal, your parents won't die (hugs her closer) The princess role is just an excuse to keep you in here.
-Jihyo: I've always wanted to be with you Y/N, but running away is too much... I'm not ready for that.
-Y/N: (sighs and gets out of the bed)
-Jihyo: Are you pissed?
-Y/N: No, I'm just disappointed with myself for being so egoistic. Even though I understand your reasons, I still want to leave this place. I'm tired of all the absurd rules and the guards watching my ass all day long.
-Jihyo: You know they do it so that you are protected. And this has always been our home, no one has ever seen or been in another place. It's a tradition, we are born and we die here.
-Y/N: Only humans, which is kinds sad. They die without discovering what's further the walls (sighs) Too unfair. And vampires like us who have the chance, waste that chance as if it meant nothing?
-Jihyo: Y/N... (gets closer)
-Y/N: (keeps her away) Sorry Jihyo, I can't be the vampire you want me to be. I can't accept being limited that way (leaves the room)

I head towards my room which is just next to Jihyo's. I close the door and throw myself to the bed thinking of all the consequences if we stay here. But they can be sumped very easily, if we stay, we die.

-Jihyo: (knocks your door) Y/N, why must you make it so difficult? We spent an incredible night... We can do it like that more times, going on dates, we can do anything you want... But it should be here, this is our place. We belong to this world (smiles and sits next to you)
-Y/N: You don't understand, Jihyo. World is something wide with multiple stuff awaiting for us, and you just conformed with this city.
-Jihyo: (sighs) I just have no option, the maximum we could do... Uh it would be something like a trip?
-Y/N: What?
-Jihyo: Humans used to do that a lot long time ago (smiles) They left their home place for some days, visit other cities and places and then return back home. What do you say, would you like to do a trip with me?
-Y/N: It isn't running away but at least we'll see different places (smiles and srughs) Let's leave right now!
-Jihyo: What? So suddenly? (laughs)
-Y/N: C'mon! That'll make it more interesting, let's go Jihyo (opens the window and takes her hand) Just the two of us travelling. It sounds like a dream, right? (chuckles)

We leave palace by jumping through the window, as vampires it's impossible to die for something as simple as that. We start using our powers to run at the light speed and then jump the walls using Jihyo's powers.

I can't believe that we really left the city, outside the walls... There's nothing. I look quite confused, there's nothing except for rocks and a huge and dark tunnel ahead of us.

-Y/N: This is everything?
-Jihyo: We are underground, this is everything we could find in here (srughs and smiles) But it's exciting, right? No one has ever stepped in here except for us.
-Y/N: Really? No one else?
-Jihyo: Well, my parents and the original vampires did. When they looked for a place to create the city.
-Y/N: And why underground?
-Jihyo: The sun could kill us, remember?
-Y/N: True... Let's investigate what's at the end of the tunnel (smiles and starts running unto it)
-Jihyo: Wait, no! Y/N!

The tunnel feels eternal however soon my eyes detect some kind of light in the end. I'm about to reach the mentioned light, when Jihyo pulls my shirt and makes me get away.

-Jihyo: Are you crazy?!
-Y/N: This light looks different from the generator's one. It's so bright and beautiful (smiles and starts crying)
-Jihyo: Y/N?
-Y/N: Jihyo... Why do I feel so nostalgic? It feels like I've already seen this light and now it is calling for me.
-Jihyo: That's impossible, you've always been a human and you were born already in the vampire city.
-Y/N: I'm sorry.

I risk my hand and put it where the light can touch it. For our surprise, it doesn't hurt or anything so I fully stand on it. Then I look up through the roof hole and realise that outside its still night.

-Y/N: This isn't the sun, its the moon Jihyo (smiles) And it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen apart from you.
-Jihyo: (smiles and stands with you) I've never done something like this, this is totally crazy.
-Y/N: In vampire city the day just started, while it seems like in the surface the night just fell (chuckles) Let's get out of this hole!
-Jihyo: No, no, that's going too far Y/N.
-Y/N: We started this adventures to see new stuff, there aren't any limits (takes her hand and jumps until you reach the surface)

We both stand while covering our eyes until the get used to the brightness. Also some kind of invisible thing seems to hit our faces in a fresh and nice way, this must be what in books is describe as breeze.

-Y/N: This is definitely a paradise, Jihyo (smiles and puts and arm around her shoulders) And its all for us... If you wanted, we could-
-Jihyo: This isn't our place Y/N, you know that. It's too dangerous.
-Y/N: And the underground isn't humans' place but you kept them in there for ages.
-Jihyo: Let's return, Y/N.
-Y/N: I'm sorry Jihyo but I'm not moving from here (serious).
