The trip with Dean made me gain focus and clarity.  I now realized that Dean didn't care if I liked rock 'n roll or how I acquired my car.  He was digging in, seeing what made me tick, testing the waters to see where my secrets lie, and where the walls I put up were so he could find away beyond them. He wanted information, because he is here to do a job not make friends. Dean really is smarter than he puts on. He's smart in a cunning way like a fox.  He's got street knowledge and knowhow.  He's a real hunter unlike half of these lowlife barbarians seeking a thrill or vengeance.  I have gained a new respect for Dean.  With my head on straight again, I am ready to stop playing around with Sam and get down to business.  I am ready for a hunt.  I almost crave a new case, a new monster to kill. This time would be much different, I am no longer going in solo. We need to work out the logistics. There can't be three chiefs.

When Dean and I returned to the bunker, Sam was sitting at a table in the library with his laptop in front of him and a notepad to his right.
"Got some grub." Dean bellowed happily.

"I might have found some cases." Sam replied looking up from the screen.  I remained stoic as he searched my face to see how my trip with Dean went. Dean pulled out a chair across from Sam and started digging into the wrapper his bacon cheddar cheese burger, fries, and coke.  I remained standing leaning against another table with my arms crossed.  I was no longer in the mood to eat, excitement was bubbling up under my skin while I fought to remain nonchalant on the exterior.

"So there's this weird outbreak in a Methodist women's hospital in Elkhorn, Nebraska.  It seems like no one is sure what it could be just that patients who come in for minor things end up dead a few days later.  Out of all of them, the longest lasted two weeks between her visit and death."

"Probably just some flu or something. I'd prefer not to get bubonic plague thanks." Dean said with a mouth full of food.

"Jesus...that's a fucking shame. It definitely sounds like it could be something, but what else do you have?" I spoke up feeling bad about Dean's lack of sympathy, even if mine was just out of decency. I chewed my lips as Sam looked through his list of possible cases, searching for one Dean and I would like.

"Alright well there's been a total of 10 people missing from three neighboring towns in Iowa.  When some of the bodies were eventually found they had all been drained of their blood.  One victim had his heart ripped out, it was found crushed and mangled a few yards from the body."

"Is there a victim type?" I asked slightly interested.

"Not a clear one, three were children ages five to eight.  The other seven were adult males ranging from Twenty- three to Thirty-two."

"Vamp? Werewolf? Vamp-wolf, Were-Vamp hybrid?" Dean questioned in an oddly joking way as he slurped down coke.

"I don't think so.  A claw was found lodged in the heart, but  rangers said they've not seen anything like it." Sam informed unfazed by Dean.

I rolled my eyes at Dean and stood straight no longer leaning on the table.  "Sounds interesting we should check it out."

"Get this, the three children haven't been found dead or alive they're just gone.  One male is still missing too." Sam said with a furrowed brow.

"Well looks like we've got a case." Dean proclaimed as he gathered up his wrappers and pushed back his chair.

Sam was now digging into his salad while continuing to read up on the case.  I pushed off from the table and walked back to my room.  I'm not sure what I was suddenly feeling or why, but I found a bottle of Jack Daniels and took a healthy swig.  Maybe it's nerves, I dont know.  I grabbed my jacket and slipped it on.  After adjusting my bracelets, I checked to make sure my knife was in my boot.  Then I removed my 9mm from my waistband and checked to make sure the clip was full.  I walked into the bathroom and tied my hair into a ponytail as I did before every hunt.  Realizing we hadn't even discussed a game plan, I quickly left my room shutting the lights off and door as I exited.  Just as I began walking down the hall I heard Dean leave his room and begin walking behind me.  I turned slightly to him and slowed my pace, "So what's the plan?".  I noticed he had changed into a suit, "What's with the get up?".
