i kept tossing and turning in my sleep. throwing on and off the blanket from being too cold or too hot. though suddenly there was an absurd loud knock at the door.
"go away," i muttered as i threw the pillow over my head. "please open the door bella," a boys voice said wearily outside my door.
"i think we're gonna get killed." a confused look spread across my face as i threw off the covers. i tiredly walked over to the door.
i swung open the door to find luis, goldberg, and ken dying of laughter. my eyes stayed squinted as i was half asleep. "what do you guys-"
but before i could finish my sentence, i heard footsteps running down the hall and towards my room. all three boys rushed in and slammed the door shut behind them.
"you guys are so lucky i am not fully awake right now," i mumbled as i trotted back to bed. they all chuckled quietly at my words.
loud music began blaring through the walls. i huffed in annoyance; knowing it was both dean and fulton since they loved their rock music dearly.
"open the door guys," a southern accent called from outside. they each kept shushing each other. "i swear i'm gonna get my lasso and strangle each of you."
i laughed quietly under my blanket at dwayne's words. but sooner than later i had fallen back into a deep slumber, even while the boys were still in my room.
the following morning i went down to the lobby and began having my breakfast. dean and fulton had stumbled down the stairs together, laughing at something stupid.
dean had pulled his chair next to me while fulton sat across from us. "rough sleep last night?" dean asked as he noticed my eyebags.
"well from having three boys barge into my room and then hear lovely rock music through my wall, you guessed it." i showed him a fake smile and then rolled my eyes. both dean and fulton chuckled at my words.
the rest of my morning was spent with both of the boys. we ate our breakfast and then went walking around to different shops before our game.
time had passed quickly because the next thing i knew, we were nearly done with our first period against italy. we were winning six to nothing.
though nearly the whole first period, i wasn't on the ice. i was put on for one minute and then sat back on the bench. i didn't understand my coach in all honesty.
fulton had winded up for another one of his great shots and shot it right into the back of the net. everyone jumped up in excitement for him. dean had given me a cheeky smile, adding a wink at the end.
after a long other two periods of mostly being on the bench, we had won eleven to zero. everyone was proud of each other.
"nice job today miss rose," charlie commented as we stepped into the locker room. i chuckled at his words. "what for warming the bench for you?"
he rolled his eyes playfully at me and then walked over to me. "you'll have your chance, i know it." i smiled back at him before he walked off to get undressed.
i had always liked charlie. he was caring towards anyone and everyone and truly showed what it meant to be a captain.
our coach had told us he had a photoshoot to attend and we were free for the rest of the day. as i got to my room, i set my bag on the floor and plopped in bed.
even though i may not have played as much as the others, i still was tired. since i didn't have anything to do, i decided to read one of my books i brought along.
out of the clear blue, there was a small knock on the door. since i was tired, and lazy, i didn't want to get out of bed. "the doors open," i called out, hoping they'd hear me.
julie softly opened the door. i was quite surprised to see her to be honest. "hey julie. how you doing?" i asked her as i offered her the chair across from the bed to sit at.
"i've been alright. and you?" she asked as she walked over and took a seat. i nodded my head. "same here." she softly smiled at me.
"so i wanted to talk to you about something." i dangled my feet over the edge of the bed and waited for her to proceed.
"i'm not getting a lot of playing time and nor are you, sadly. so i wanted to talk to coach bombay about it. i was wondering if you wanted to tag along."
even my other teammates had noticed that i barely had any ice time like them. i thought for a moment and a small smile came to my face.
"i will gladly come along."
