julie and i slowly made our way to coaches office. julie honestly seemed confident, but i was the complete opposite. for some reason i just felt, nervous.

but sooner than later, we were standing in front of his office window. "you ready?" she questioned me as she turned around to face me. i gave her a thumbs up before she quietly knocked on the door.

he seemed to have been on the phone with somebody, though he still waved us in. we both took seats in front of his desk before he ended his call.

"what's up?" he questioned as he looked between both of us. julie spoke for herself. "i wanna play. when am i gonna get my chance?"

"julie, goldberg's on a hot streak. i got to stick with him as long as we're winning." julie still wasn't satisfied with coach. "i understand. but i left my team in maine to show the world what i can do."

"just give it time. you will show the world, i promise. okay?" she nodded her head at coach before she walked up and began to make her way out of his office.

i began to follow her actions, before coach stopped me. "is there something i can do for you, bella?" my heart began racing a hundred times faster.

"i just uh," i couldn't even get the words out of my mouth correctly. "i really wanna play as well. i wanted to show my town back in colorado what i can do."

coach sufficiently nodded his head at my words. "just like julie, give it time. you will have your moment to show everyone what you can do. i know all of your greatness beneath and i won't let it go to waste."

i smiled at what my coach said to me. afterwards, he waved me off and went back to his own work. when i stepped out, i let out a deep breath.

julie was leaning against the wall before she stood up and came next to me. "how'd it go?" she asked as we began walking back to our rooms.

"well, he sees my greatness so that's good." she chuckled quietly before patting my shoulder. "of course you're a great player, or else you wouldn't be here." we both laughed at what she said.

sooner than later we made it to julie's door. "thanks for coming with, bella. you gave me the confidence i needed." i nodded my head towards her before walking back to my room.

i gently closed the door behind me before plopping in bed and beginning to read my book. though at least half an hour later i was interrupted.

as i didn't feel like getting up, i called out, "the door is open!" there was mumbling behind the door that i couldn't understand, but soon the door flew open.

in walked both fulton and dean. fulton sat on the comfy chair while dean plopped down on the bed near my feet. "wow someone's a nerd," fulton spoke up.

i looked up from my book and glared at him. "hey reading books is cool man," dean commented back at him. "thank you dean." he nodded his head at me and continued staring at the ceiling. "oh whatever, of course you'll take her side. you're like madly-"

"okay so we came in here to ask if you wanted to come and take a stroll with us," dean asked me. i sat my book down and hopped out of bed.

"well, what are you waiting for? let's get a show on the road." both dean and fulton chuckled to themselves before we all made our way out of my room and onto the streets.

every time we'd walk by something, one of us would go 'wow would you look at that,' since we had never seen such a thing. everything just seemed more pretty in los angeles, at least to us.

after the sun had gone down and we got a small bite to eat, we started making our way back to our rooms. i had had a good time with both of the boys.

fulton had commented to dean, "go talk to those girls!" there were two girls walking in front of us. i laughed at both of them and what they were trying to do.

"no, you do it!" fulton had walked closer behind them. "uh, hey ladies. nice night for a stroll, wouldn't you say?" they both giggled at fulton and walked off.

i laughed aloud at both of them. "oh boy. good luck getting ladies in the future," i said as i patted both dean and fulton on the back. they both jokingly rolled their eyes at me.

"no curfew will keep us down. ooo, icecream!" dean exclaimed as we saw an ice cream shop. though as i was beginning to walk towards the door, dean pulled my hand back and i ran into his chest.

in front of us was the assistant iceland coach and our own coach. they were talking and having ice cream together. what was this?

dean hadn't let go of my hand and his grip had become stronger, meaning he was becoming angrier by the minute. "great coach we got," he said before walking off.
