Our School

S.Johnston

I miss when I used to go to school.
A place where time will forever lag.
The place that kept me from being a fool.

The ringing bell would scream like a mule,
We'd pledge our allegiance to the flag.
I miss when I used to go to school.

The snoring student, covered in drool,
A perfect "A" deserves a brag.
The place that kept me from being a fool.

A number two pencil was our tool.
Where all the lunch food makes you gag.
I miss when I used to go to school.

When wearing Silly Bandz used to be cool.
At recess we would all play tag.
The place that kept me from being a fool.

Where we would all follow every rule,
And I'd grip the straps of my bookbag.
I miss when I used to go to school,
The place that kept me from being a fool.
