"Momma, Momma wake up"I blinked my eyes open and stretched. I looked at the tiny person standing before me looking absolutely adorable, she clutched the bunny that I had as a child.
"Yes Faye?"I mumbled lightly.
"I'm hungry"She held her stomach and pouted. I thought that only worked when I did it. I got on all 4's and let her climb on my back.
"All aboard. whoo whoo!"I shouted crawling to the kitchen. Faye was giggling and clinging to my shirt.
"What do you want for breakfast?"I asked softly.
"I want what you want momma."Faye smiled and sat in the stool.
I cut up a bunch of different fruits and put them in a bowl. I took a spoon and grabbed a spoonful of honey, sprinkling it all over her fruit.
I watched as she ate and enjoyed the fruits.
"What is this fruit?"She asked, holding up the soft golden yellow sticky fruit.
"That is called a mango, you can find them in the Caribbean."I smiled and ate some of the fruit from the bowl.
"Your smart aren't you Faye?"I asked her, she looked smart.
She simply nodded at me, for the past half hour she spent it watching my every move. We both ate some more fruit and watched spongebob.
AN: a personal favorite *winky face*
"I love you."I looked down at her and wiped the tears forming in my eyes.
"I love you too."I smirked.
"But I love you more."Maxwell kissed my cheek, it caught me completely off guard.
I smiled and kissed him back. He then bent down and kissed Faye's cheek lifting her in his arms. Faye looked at me I could already tell what she was saying : mommy is this man allowed to hold me cause if he isn't then I'll throw a big fit. I gave her a small nod.
"momma is that my daddy?"She whispered in my ear.
"Yes, that's your second daddy you can call him daddy or Max"I murmured.
"Like a dog?"she looked from me to Maxwell.
"It's like a nick name, our dog is named Rocket."Maxwell whistled and the huge dog came running he jumped on me and tackled me to the ground.
I groaned and pushed the slobbering beast off of me.
"Rocket sit"I grumbled, softly. He obeyed and went over to sniff Faye who sat completely still until he was finished sniffing her out.
"I'm going to take Faye to the mall."I mumbled slightly.
"I'll come with.."Maxwell murmured.
"Actually Max you have a meeting in 20 minutes"Maurice whispered.
"Alright, well tomorrow we'll go to a park."He kissed my forehead and Faye's cheek letting us leave.
Once I had her strapped in the car, I drove off towards the correctional facility.
"This doesn't look like a mall mama."Faye whispered.
"We are here to see your grandma."I murmured, I lifted her into my lap and waited for my mother. As soon as my mother laid eyes on Faye she burst into tears.
"Faye?"She sobbed.
"I thought--"She continued
"You thought wrong and now she's my responsibility mom, how could you keep her from me knowing she needed me."I choked.
"Why would you make me send her away, I missed the most important parts of my baby growing up."I paused and gulped.
"I did what was best for you, what baby could grow up with a mute mother, how would you have explained your muteness to her"She hissed.
"I would've tried as soon as I realized she was the only thing that could keep me going and not kill myself."I frowned and played with Faye.
"...I-I"She stuttered.
"Save it, say goodbye to your granddaughter because we are leaving."I growled, I grabbed Faye's hand and walked out the door.
"The mall really Selena?"Maxwell grumbled,he was sitting on the hood of my car.
"I just needed answers."I paused and let Faye run to him.
"I don't want Faye around this jail ever again, thank you."He kissed my cheek and got into his car with Faye.
I drove behind Maxwell on the way home. I was smoking pot. My favorite was Mary Jane and Purp mixed together. That's an incredible high. I sprayed perfume on myself and in the car before getting out.
