Selena

I thought the night was going well until Rockie mentioned my call girl past. I avoided looking at his sisters.
"So you were the call girl that Maxwell couldn't get enough of. It was you!"Stephanie growled.

"When you slept with that other man it really mad Maxwell upset..."Tiara murmured.

Give us a moment please and kick Rockie's ass for me ladies."I motioned towards the patio and watched as they left.

"Listen girls that my old life is in the past, I only did that to make money and provide for myself."I started.

"Why do that and your mother is the biggest gold digging whore in town."Stephanie sneered. I slapped her hard.

"Don't you dare speak ill of my mother. You never knew her and you never will."I growled. Maria had a small confrontation with her sisters and before I knew it they were gone.

"Aw sweetie it's okay they just...."Jada and Rockie tried hugging me.

"I've never heard anyone actually say it to my face before, I've always heard it through whispers and rumors. Never too my face."I frowned softly and wiped the tears forming in my eyes.

"You'll be fine sweetie, they just have to calm down."Rockie rubbed my shoulders.

"Jennifer is already skeptical about me since that incident, me slapping her daughter was icing on the cake, she'll hate me now.Plus his family picnic is tomorrow I'm screwed girls"I mumbled, pouting

"Ya know girls I think I'm going to go to bed, you guys can stay, leave whatever just don't wreck the house."I mumbled, sulking up the stairs.

"No, your staying with us, we're going to get you drunk so Maxwell can have sex with you."Samantha said grabbing my arm.

"I tried that already."I sat down on the steps and drank the entire bottle of wine.

"Ease up on the drinking sweetheart,"Harold snatched the bottle from my hand.

"You are all married and engaged females I will not be responsible for any of you getting drunk off your ass and getting into a car accident."Harold muttered sitting down between us. I wrapped myself into Harold's arms and fell asleep.

"Wake up Elsa."I heard a voice say, I growled and smacked Maxwell.

"Go away Anna."I snarled, before walking to the bathroom.

"Are you getting ready for the family picnic?"He asked.

I inwardly cursed myself for forgetting about it.
"Do we have to go?"I asked slowly, Maxwell ripped the door open and looked at me.

"Si, mi familia misses you"He purred in that accent that I loved so much. He gave me a tight hug, I didn't bother to tell him what happened the other night. I just hope he didn't get too upset with me.

I paused and ruffled my now curled hair, I fixed the gold diamond earrings I was wearing and stared at my blank expression. I looked at the grey sun dress I was wearing, it was flared and showed off my chest a little bit. I sighed and walked out the bathroom.

"Come on, I don't want to miss my father's sangria."Maxwell seemed to rush me to the car.

"I'm surprised your dad was even invited"

"Well Jennifer is the only thing close I have to a mother."He murmured

"You didn't have to get so touchy"I fixed the hairs in front of his face.

"we're here"He responded, rather quickly.

I hummed a response, I could tell he was upset with me. But he still held my hand and walked me to see Jennifer.

"Maxiee"She said in an over joyed tone as if she hasn't seen him centuries.

"Jenn, Selena has brought potatoe salad."I watched as her eyes travelled to me, her eyes filled with some uncertainty. I'm not sure we'd ever be able to rekindle the flame we had in the past.

"Ah, Thank you Lena." She handed the bowl non-chalantly to Tiara. Pretty soon Jennifer was surrounded by her girls. They took a strange liking to her being their mom although she was their age I took one look at Stephanie's eye and winced.

did I really hit her that hard?

I paused and briefly smiled at them, they all sent looks my way.

"Stephanie what the hell happened to you."Maxwell growled. He walked over to her and lifted her chin.

"Ask your wife hermano"Tiara spat and walked away. They all walked away, I felt like I was public enemy number one on their hitlist now. Maxwell turned and looked me in the eye.

"I uhm...I need to go to the car."I snatched the keys from his pocket and ran to the car. Maxwell cleaned his car out every 30 days, hopefully he didn't find out where I hid the cigarettes. I instantly felt under the chair until my fingertips touched a box taped to the top of the chair. I lit the cigarette and sat back in the chair smoking.

"Falling back into your old habit."Maxwell's Father came near the car. He offered me a glass of his sangria and I accepted sucking on the green apples.
I growled and turned away, I paused for a moment before giving an answer.

"Where is Jennifer?"I asked.

"Jennifer is with the girls, talking about some stupid shit."Raymond could always feel and be real around me, I don't know why he could but he trusted me oddly.

"Has my son talked about his work with you?"He eyed me, I was halfway through the cigarrette when I stopped.

"Is that all you came over to here to ask me?"I took another swig.

"Dad?"The voice I wasn't really expecting to hear from. Maxwell came beside the car snatching the cigarette from my hand and smashing it on the ground. I sighed.

"Maxwell"Raymond nodded at Maxwell.

"What are you two talking about?"He asked.

"Grandchildren"Raymond responded, but Maxwell quickly held his hand up.

"I was asking Selena dad"Raymond nodded slowly and walked away.

"Grandchildren Maxwell, Your father wants a grandchild and he wants me to hold it."I bit my lip and cleared my throat.

I finished the sangria inwardly approving of the sweet fiery taste it left me.

"Jennifer has been told me about what you did, why'd you slap Stephanie?"He mumbled softly.

"She disrespected me Maxwell, I am my mother's child and even though she may not represent me well, I still represent her well. Stephanie disrespected her therefore she disrespects me."I rolled my eyes slightly and looked over at him.

"It's not like she was lying..."He responded

"You know what Maxwell, You, Jennifer, and your sisters can kiss my ass"I said a little too quickly. Maxwell suppressed his anger in front of me and got out the car. I took the keys and drove off I had to visit the only person that I felt was on my side. The very one I took a bullet for. The same one that probably risked my good relations with this family but I didn't care.

They all had something against my mother and they had no right too, they didn't live with her or watch her kill your birth father.
