CHAPTER 27:THE BIGGEST MISTAKE

<Elmo’s POV>

“Magtratrabaho ka para sa kanila? Why did you said that?” Halatang gulat din si Julie sa nasabi niya kanina doon sa mga lalaki kanina. Naupo ako doon sa tabi niya. “450,000? Saan naman tayo kukuha ng ganun kalaking pera?”

“S… sorry. Hindi ko din alam sinasabi ko kanina. Basta, gusto ko mapaali na sila kanina!”

I checked my wallet at ‘yong last receipt ng credit card and ATMs ko. “Wow, I just a total of 120,000 in my wallet”

“I’m sorry”

Huminga ako ng malalim. Tumayo siya tapos kumuha ng kitchen utensils at nagprepare ng mga gamit.

“Sorry. Sa sinabi ko sa kanila, mas pinahirapan ko pa ata mga sarili natin. Naalala ko sabi ni Ms. P noon, mas okay na kapag may problema ka, you need to eat sweets par amas maging magaan lahat.” Is she going to bake for me? Binuksan niya ‘yong isang notebook. Wait, is that the recipe my mom gave to her? “I will try to bake for you.”

<Lauren’s POV>

“Ano ba, hindi ka ba napapagod kaiiyak dyan kay Blue?”

Kat wiped her tears. “Blue neglected me! He said he likes Julie and now that Julie is in Elmo’s hands, he engaged himself in basketball! I hate it! I hate it so much!”

“Lo, can’t you just be friends with Blue? At least, if you become friends with them, you can still continue your friendship with Blue!” I comforted Kat as much as I can. Kahit ba naman bitchy kami dalawa, kaibigan ko pa rin ‘to. If you are brokenhearted, you need a friend and I’m that friend for her. “Why did you let go of Elmo?”

“Kasi hindi naman pwede na araw-araw ko na lang ipagpilitan sarili ko sa kanya, ‘di ba? At least, if I’ll accept his relationship with Julie, I can still talk to him”

Well, it’s the nature of a one-sided love. Love him, get hurt, accept it. That’s all you can do.

Halos makain ko na pati ‘yong platito sa sarap nung binake ni Julie. No. I’m not kidding. Masarap talaga.

“Yung totoo? Matagal ka nang cook no? Bakit ang galing mo gumawa ng cupcakes?”

“Not me. Thanks to your mom’s recipe”

“Alam mo babe, may naisip ako”

“Hmm?”

“Let’s sell cupcakes. It can be an income”

 

Tinawagan ko ‘yong buong barkada. Kasama ‘yong mga kaklase namin noong highschool.

“Hello?”

“Hello? Sino ‘to?”

“Elmo Magalona”

“Ah! Yes boss?”

“Ken and Will, pumunta kayo dito sa Ateneo sa Sabado”
