Zayn was literally minutes away from having the biggest meltdown of his life. Possibly bigger than the one he had when he found out he was pregnant! He was also minutes away from his date with Theo. Oh and he wasn't ready , he had fifteen minutes and he wasn't ready! Why? You may ask ... well because his mind kept going over his and Lennon's conversation over and over and over again. It was beyond ridiculous but he couldn't help it! It was his fault Lennon was so upset, well in a way it was. But of course it was mainly Harry's fault .. as always.
"Zayn? Why are you still here?" Lennon frowned as she stepped out of the bathroom. Her blonde hair up in a towel and body wrapped in her dressing gown.
"I-I'm - I just- I'm panicking." He stammered , rubbing his sweaty palms against his thighs.
"I have no idea what I'm doing Len, I really don't."
"Oh hun, you just need to calm down. You like this lad don't you?" She cooed.
"I do... I'm actually surprised I do."
"Then just focus on that, as long as you show how much you really like him I doubt he'll care about the date it's self."
Zayn knew she was right, but deep down he wasn't freaking out about the date. He was freaking out about the fact that Harry's relationship may be at breaking point so instead of them both moving forwards Harry will be alone and shit, he didn't want that! He never wanted Harry to feel the way he had , even if he did fuck up massively.
"I-I- shit I'm sorry." He rushed out.
"Why?" Lennon frowned , rubbing his arm gently.
"About you and Harry fighting... it's been playing on my mind and I just- he loves you. You know that right?"
"I know he loves me ... I-I just , I had a moment of weakness I guess. He was upset that this Theo lad was the person you've chosen to move on with and I didn't get why. I jumped to the conclusion that it was because he wanted you back but then he explained everything and I got it in a way... I remember when I met him. H-he was so broken when we met Zayn and the way he spoke about you I just knew it was because he still loved you. But six months in and I've gotten used to the fact that you're each other's first love. You have a child together , that love isn't ever going away. So don't worry it's not your fault , I just let my insecurities get the better of me ... but we're fine I promise." The model explained with a soft smile.
"You're definitely just saying that so I go on the date." He huffed.
"I'm not! I promise you."
Zayn didn't know how to feel , on one hand he knew Lennon was a lovely person and she wouldn't lie about how she was feeling. At least she didn't the day previous anyway. But on the other hand , she could just be saying all this to get him away from Harry completely...
Nope, he was being crazy.
"I-ok... just text me if Daislee gets upset or anything ok? Harry should be back from footy with Louis soon ." Zayn replied finally giving in.
"Of course I will, even if it's the tiniest little whimper I will let you know." Lennon assured him.
"I know it's not easy for you to trust me Zayn... I won't tell you that you have to. I wouldn't trust me either. Believe me."
"T-thanks, honestly I'm just glad you're not some psycho who's trying to take my kid." Zayn snorted.
"Definitely not!"
"Then we're going to be absolutely fine."
Lennon quickly have him a hug goodbye and wished him luck before she made her way into the bedroom where Daislee was peacefully sleeping.
