I looked up at the house I used to call home. I slowly walked up the path towards the front door. Before I could knock the door opened and I was greeted by the Tommy. He grabbed my arm and yanked me inside.

"I missed you Julia." I looked up at him.

"I didn't. Where's Richard?" I demanded. He looked shocked for a second then slapped me. I yelped in surprise. He took my face into his hand and turned it so I could look at his face.

"I said I missed you Julia," he looked angry,"what are you supposed to say?" He waited for my answer.

"I. Want. Richard. Where. Is. He." I shot back angrily.

"Wrong answer!" He shouted at me. He then proceeded to try to drag me up the stairs. Try. I grabbed onto the banister so he couldn't drag me any further.

"I will willingly go with you if you let Richard go. Just let him go I will stay with you, I promise." I pleaded.

"Fine." He answered. He let me go then told me to follow him down to the basement. I was a little hesitant but I followed.

When we got to the bottom I saw Richard tied up to a chair, bruises all over his face and arms. I tore my eyes away from Richard to see Tommy smirking at me.

"Alex, let him go." As Tommy said this I saw a man who had brown hair a seemingly black eyes come out of the corner to untie Richard. I saw Richard start to wake up.

~Richard Clarke~

I felt these tight ropes around my arms loosening then looked up to see Julia's face, a mixture of sadness and anger. Then I remembered where I was.

"Julia!" I shouted at her. She ran towards me but I saw Tommy grab her around the waist and pull her back to him.

"I said you could see him not touch him." He spat at her. She elbowed him in the gut. He let her go as he crouched down to the floor. She took this chance to run towards me. I ran to her since I was free of the ropes. When we got to each other I pulled her into a hug. She started crying.

"I thought I was going to lose you." She kept crying. I snapped back to reality when I saw Richard pull out a gun. He pointed it at us.

"If you can't love me Julia then I won't let you love anyone else." He yelled at her. Just as the gun was about to go off I heard another gun go off behind me. Then Tommy fell to the ground. I saw a bullet wound in the center of his chest. I turned to look behind me.

"I had to do it. I can't do this any more. I can't ruin other people's lives like this. Both of you call the police. Tell them exactly what happened." The guy who captured me said. I looked at him confused.

"Who are you?" Julia asked. He looked at her stunned. Then his face settled into a look of sadness.

"I'm Alex Bates, a hitman. I was hired to stalk and kill Richard but I killed Tommy, the one who hired me, instead. I don't want to kill people anymore so I am going to turn myself in. I know it sounds crazy that a hitman would turn himself in but, guilt has caught up with me." He explained.

I looked at Julia to see her shocked expression.

Oh my gosh. We were being watched this whole time. I looked down to where Tommy's body had once been. Then it hit me.

Tommy is still alive.

I looked at Richard to see if he had noticed. He stood there frozen. I looked at Alex. To see he had to frozen.

"How did he......" Alex looked confused. I saw a little blood trail going upstairs to the now open basement door. That psychopath. Alex raced up the stairs and stopped at the top.

"Stay here." He commanded. Of course as soon as he was gone I went to run up the stairs only to be pulled back by Richard.

"No you stay here, let me go help Alex." I stood stunned. I watched as Rich went up the stairs carefully. As soon as he was gone I went up to the first floor.

I looked around to see the little blood trail lead up the stairs to the second floor. As soon as I got to the second floor I saw a door close. I walked to the door. As soon as I put my hand on the door knob I heard a gun go off inside of the room.

I yelped in surprise then ran into the room next door. It was my old bedroom. Great.

I went to hide in the closet just as I heard the door open.

"Come out Julia, don't you want to know who died?" I heard Tommy's voice taunt me.

No. No. No.

He stepped closer to the closet. Just as he was about to open the closet door I opened it with so much force it knocked Tommy to the ground. I was about to make a break for it when he grabbed me by the ankle and I fell forward. He dragged me to him. Then I felt some thing cold and sharp being pressed up against me neck. I whimpered at his next words.

"I'm going to make your death slow and painful. I can't see you love anyone else but me, and since you won't do that, I have to kill you. but before I do I want you to watch Richard die." He held on to me tightly as he pulled me up and started walking me down the hallway towards the room I had heard the gun go off.

Wait a minute. He still has his gun on him. I slowly reached behind me when I felt a metal handle. I grabbed it and shoved his hand away from me as quickly as possible. I turned around and pointed the gun at him.

"You don't want to do that." He smirked at me. He's right I didn't. So I shot him in the leg. He screamed I. Pain as he dropped to the floor.

Oh wow. I just shot someone. I looked at the gun in my hands then at Tommy. I ran into the room he intended to take me. I saw Richard lying unconscious on the ground. I looked in the corner and saw a phone. I ran to it and dialed 911. After telling the person what happened she promised an ambulance and police were on their way. I hung up even though she to,d me not to. I had to check on Richard.

When I kneeled next to him I heard a gun go off down the hall. I ran and looked out the door to see a bullet in Tommy's head and Alex standing over him. I stood stunned for a moment then remembered Richard.

I saw him sitting up up looking around the room in a daze. He was half awake I could tell. I went to the bathroom to get a handful of water then splashed in his face so he would snap out of it. He stiffened up for a second then looked at me.

"Julia." He said relieved. I hugged him and didn't let go until I heard sirens in the distance.

"It's over." I told him.

"It's over."
