Could you love me?

Part 2

A few hours have passed and Lizzie keeps fixing herself up in the mirror. She has already changed her outfit three times. Finally settling on a simple black pantsuit. She decided on light make up and to keep her hair down. She looks at herself one more time in the mirror before grabbing her clutch and heading out.

Kathryn is already waiting in the driveway for Lizzie.

"Someone is dressed to impress tonight." Kathryn gets out raising her eyebrows a bit.

Lizzie immediately breaks out into a blush. "I don't know what you are talking about."

"Mhmm sure." Kathryn says driving off.

Once they arrive at the studio Kathryn parks our front. She starts to get out of the car before looking over at Lizzie. She can see the anxiety on her face.

"Hey what's wrong?" Kathryn says looking over at her.

"Maybe we shouldn't go, I mean we weren't really even invited." Lizzie starts.

Kathryn immediately cuts her off. "Nonsense, it's open to the public and we are just big fans of art."

Lizzie nods and looks at her. "Okay. But if Y/n questions it at all I'm saying you dragged me here."

"That's fine, hurry up I want snacks." Kathryn says getting out of the car.

Lizzie quickly follows Kathryn out of the car and heads into the studio. Once inside the are met with a decent crowd of people eating, drinking and enjoying the art.

Lizzies eyes scan the room looking in awe at the paintings she can see. As she scans the room she notices y/n standing in the back corner talking to a couple people about the piece behind her.

Lizzie smiles to herself noticing how enthusiastic y/n is about the painting. Just before she looks away y/n turns and catches her eyes.

Y/n looks shocked for a moment before smiling back nodding to Lizzie.

Lizzie nods back, trying to ignore the way her heart fluttered a bit when y/n smiled. She turns away walking over to look at the artwork.

While looking at one of the paintings Lizzie notices some come and stand next to her.

"You know, you were the last person I'd expect to see her tonight." Y/n says causing Lizzie to turn and smile.

"Well a little bird told me there was an art exhibit opening, and I am quite a fan of art." Lizzie replies trying to keep her cool.

"Ah and is that bird named Kathryn." Y/n says turning to look over at Kathryn who's is standing across the room smiling at them. Once Kathryn sees them looking she quickly turns and pretends to be talking to someone else.

This causes both women to chuckle a bit.

"Yes, yes it is." Lizzie says, still giggling.

"So you're an artist?" Lizzie says looking at y/n smiling.

Before y/n can answer two kids run at her full force grabbing onto her legs. "Aunt y/n!"

"Wow you guys are getting so big I barely recognized you!" Y/n says picking the younger girl up.

Lizzie giggles at the interaction smiling at the kids.

"Guys what did I say about running?" A man says walking up. "Sorry for interrupting y/n."

"No problem. Hey guys this is my new friend Elizabeth." Y/n says turning towards Lizzie.

"You're Wanda!" The girl says excited.
