Part 15

Y/n woke up to the feeling of her drowning. She immediately sat up and started coughing, unable to catch her breath. Both Lizzie and Scarlett jump into action hearing their baby struggling to breathe.

Scarlett runs into the kitchen to grab a glass of water as Lizzie stays put pulling y/n into her arms as she rubs her back.

Y/n coughing fit subsides for a second. Y/n gasps for air and starts scratching at her neck trying to make sure nothing is touching it.

Lizzie notices and quickly pulls y/n hair back and puts it up.

"Can you slow your breathing down for me?" Lizzie whispers in y/n ears pulling her close.

"Liz...zie.... can't...can't.." y/n starts to get out between fast breaths.

Lizzie quickly turns y/n around so she's facing Lizzie. Placing both hands on her cheeks.

"Y/n, baby you need to breathe. Follow my breath okay?" Lizzie says taking very exaggerated breaths.

Scarlett comes in and sits behind y/n. Slowly wrapping herself around y/n so y/n was leaning against her chest.

Once y/n breathing slowed down she started coughing again. In the middle of the coughing fit y/n stands up and runs to the bathroom. Both Moms quickly follow, kneeling next to y/n as she emptied her stomach into the toilet.

"Here's some mouthwash." Scarlett offers, grabbing it from under the sink.

Y/n quickly swished it around her mouth before spitting it out into the toilet as well.

"Hot." Y/n gets out pulling at her shirt.

"Okay here let me help you babygirl." Lizzie says, pulling the shirt over her head.

Lizzie presses the back of her hand against y/n forehead. "You're burning up. Let's get you some meds." Lizzie says starting to go through her drawers.

"No, no meds pwease." Y/n says tears in her eyes.

Lizzie stopped what she was doing and came to sit in front of y/n on the ground.

"Hey baby, the meds are only to help make you feel better." Lizzie says.

"Yeah we both just want you to feel better sweetheart." Scarlett adds.

Y/n just shakes her head.

Scarlett and Lizzie exchange glances silently speaking to each other.

"Okay no meds for now, but if it's still here later we will need you to take some. Deal?" Lizzie says.

"Mhmm" y/n says nodding.

"Cuwwles?" Y/n asks making grabby hands towards Lizzie.

"Yes we can cuddle babygirl." Lizzie says lifting y/n up and carrying her to the bed.

Lizzie lays y/n down in the middle of the bed so both moms can cuddle her. As soon as Scarlett lays down y/n cuddles her head into her neck.

After a few minutes y/n's breathing evens out. Scarlett looks over at Lizzie.

"I'll call the doctor in the morning to come check on her. Hopefully the fever breaks through the night." Scarlett says.

Lizzie nods and looks over at Scarlett "We can't let them take her in. I can't lose her." Lizzie admits as tears fill her eyes.

"Hey hey" Scarlett says, pulling Lizzie closer to her. Scarlett lifts her hand to wipe away a few tears.

"That's not happening. We've got her." Scarlett says leaving her hands to caress Lizzie's cheek.
