Late January brought another Quidditch match. The January match was Slytherin v. Ravenclaw, and it was Regulus's first match as captain. Diana thought Regulus made a much better captain than Corbin had, at least with the motivational speech aspect of the position. Regulus managed to hype the team up for the match while also keeping them grounded in reality, reminding them that the Ravenclaw team had better statistics this year than they had last year and that they were the favorite to win.

While in the Slytherin changing room, Diana listened to the plays the chasers were organizing as she put on her equipment. The team then lined up and took to the air. Thomas, Hadrian, and Nymera went first, followed by Claudia and Augustus, then Regulus, and finally Diana.

Diana smiled down at the Slytherin section, which had acquired eight seventh-year Gryffindors cheering loudly in Slytherin green. It seemed that Sirius had charmed his own Gryffindor jersey to be silver and green so that it was now identical to his brothers aside from the number and Remus had on Diana's extra jersey, which Diana suspected Amira had a part in getting to him and Peter or Lily helped enlarge.

Diana moved to the hoops opposite the field from where Karasu was stationed and watched as Madam Hooch released the balls and whistled, signaling the game's beginning.

The game was tedious, and each team had its strengths and weaknesses. The Ravenclaw and Slytherin chasers were about equal in skill and speed, but the Ravenclaw beaters surpassed Claudia and Augustus. However, Diana was performing her role as keeper better than Karasu was, but the score was still close, and neither Barty nor Regulus had seen the Snitch yet. 

The game went on for about thirty more minutes like that until the Snitch appeared on the Ravenclaw side of the field. Although Regulus was quick, the Snitch had decided to show itself practicality directly next to where Barty was, and Barty wasn't a bad Seeker. Hence, Barty ended up catching the Snitch with ease before landing and holding his hand up to show the crowd the Snitch before Ravenclaw was declared the winner of the match.

The Slytherin team was exhausted and feeling defeated as they made their way back to the changing room. Sometimes Diana didn't understand the point of Seekers and the Snitch in Quidditch because catching the Snitch invalidated the efforts of all the other members of each team. Still, since her boyfriend was a Seeker and he looked good in the Seeker uniform, she decided to keep her mouth shut on the matter.

The remainder of January was uneventful aside from Lily turning 18, making her officially legal in both the wizarding and Muggle world.

February was a relatively eventful month, and it all started with Valentine's Day. While everyone was expecting another Valentine's Day prank from the Marauders, they decided to switch things this year.
