The Peaceful Picnic

The clouds moved from their position in the sky to reveal the bright sun. Today would be a hot, sunny day, just perfect for Kara's plans.
Kara walked down the concrete sidewalk, approaching her most favorite tree in the park. It would just be her today, however, for all of her friends were busy- whether it was a family event, or just the desire to train their beyblades. But Kara was tired of training her Longma bey, so she decided to take it easy. Kara lay the blanket out and began to set out the foods she had prepared for her wonderful picnic.
Once everything was in place, Kara began to eat. She absorbed the delightful taste of mayonnaise and mustered as it hit her tongue. "This is wonderful." she muttered to herself, trying not to wolf down her food in one bite.
RING RING! Her phone began to play her ringtone for video messaging. She looked to see who it was and decided to answer. "Hello,"
"Greetings Kara, it's Chi Yun."
"I understand that it is you; I can see you on the screen!"
Chi Yun only provided a grin at her joke.
"Anyway, what brings you to call me?"
"I have come to announce that I have just one the yearly tournament at the Beylin Temple!"
"You even beat Da Xiang?"
Chi Yun scowled in a silly way. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Kara laughed. "Relax Chi Yun, I was only joking!"
Chi Yun smiled again. "I am sorry, but I have to go now. Awards are up next and everyone will be there."
"Congratulations Chi Yun! You are the best at the Beylin Temple! I wish I was there to see it in person."
"I wish all of you were here too."
Chi Yun weakly smiled then hung up.
Kara continued to gobble at her lunch until it was all gone. She felt fat when she finished, realizing she had packed a meal fit for two.
Oh well.
She then packed it up, making sure no litter was left behind. Kara stared, and admired a group of young children playing with their beyblades. How excited they were! "Wow, I hope they become prodigies like all of my friends.... That would be a really cool thing to see them on TV when I grow up."

Eventually the children stopped playing to go and play a different game. Kara finally stopped watching them and decided to head on home and play a computer game.
