The horizon painted in a hue of orange
reflecting the died leaves on the ground
so It was another autumn nightfall
and through death a new life was found
A life I had longed to call my own
but the winter swiftly snatched it away
today you hand me back another moment
that gleams out as love in every other way.
And so the waves didn't teach me how to smile
neither do my eyes light up at the skies
rather the falling leaves is all that I see
and a crescent moon rising in your
e y e s
.
