After the encounter with the Riddler earlier during the day, I was relieved to be able to go to my hotel room. I could finally get into bed and watch a movie with the kwamis.

In that second, I wish time would stop and I could lay their forever. Especially knowing what I had to look forward to the following day, school with Lila.

-

As I was walking to the school in Gotham someone walked into me, spilling coffee on me. Thankfully, the coffee was no longer hot.

"I'm so sorry for spilling my coffee on you." He cringed, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly while my eye subtly twitched. I sighed but said nothing, simply resigning myself to fate.

"My name's Tim. You?" He asked curiously, blinking owlishly, all the while searching for something from his bag. After ruffling through his things he hands me a clean shirt.

"Marinette and thanks for the shirt." I replied, reluctantly answering before asking a question of my own, one I internally regretted asking.

"Want to go get a coffee with me?" The adorable smile on his face I got in response was worth it though.

-

My first class was science which was fine, we each got assigned partners. I was paired with a boy named Jason Todd.

"Hi, my name's Marinette. How about you?" I tentatively questioned.

"My name's Jason but I suppose you can call me Jay." He responded, his face not betraying any emotions.

"Then it's only fair that you call me by a nickname as well," I said, eventually.

"Okay, Pixie Pop." He laughed as if he had just said something terribly funny.

-

We ended up exchanging numbers. He waved goodbye as I went to my next class.

There, of course, was Lila, speaking to the same boy I had spilled coffee on (funny how life works). I went to sit next to him as the teacher started talking,

"Since we've received the honour of welcoming some students from Paris, I will give you this time to talk to one and other!" Do your job, please.

"My name is Marinette, though you already know that and I like art." I muttered, not knowing what else I could possibly say.

"I like working and playing video games." He replied voice filled with mirth.

This class was going to be very long, I groaned.
