🌠Chapter Five 🌠

------------------------Gulf's POV----------------------

I was so shocked and terrified when I learned the whereabouts about the other Gulf, I can't believe he just died like that, he was a great person, he was loved by thousands and thousands of fans, has a loving family and always surrounded by people who respected him, I know that actors get haters but not to this extent besides it seem he really hated his life

I was lucky that Mew was with me or I would really have lost it, he even made sure I got into the bed before leaving, of course it was very hard to fall asleep but my exhaustion and the shock got the better of me and feel asleep eventually and then I saw a special dream

I saw Gulf being tortured and then running to the edge of the bridge, he had a lifeless look into his eyes before jumping into the cold water, I tried calling him and stopping him but neither my voice was heard nor could I get close to him and then suddenly I found myself in the water hearing my own voice resonating inside my head

It was the other Gulf's last thoughts and wish before he feel deep into the water and lastly I saw the shooting star that passed by during that accident, that star fulfilled both my and the other Gulf's wishes, he wished that his family would never know that he preferred to die like that while I wished for a different life and so I was brought here to enjoy a new life and take his place so his family won't discover their real son's death

"ulf... gul... Gulf wake up" I heard a faint voice waking me up as I slowly opened my eyes

"Mew... " I sat up

"are you alright? It seem you had a nightmare" he looked worried to me that's when I felt my tears on my cheeks, I quickly wiped them away

"more like I saw the other Gulf's last moments and heard his last wish"

"huh?" Mew was confused and sat hearing me

"so both your wish and his wish came true"

"it seem so" I sighed looking outside the window

"how are you feeling?"

"I don't know, I'm still scared, confused, very sad and worried"

"I'm sure it's very hard for you but take it slowly"

"this will be my new life, I will have to be the other Gulf until the day I die, honestly, this is not what I wished for but I guess everything come with a price yet I still don't understand how come we never knew each other before" Mew went silent for a while

"actually, I have a theory but I'm still not sure about it"

"what it is?"

"have you heard of parallel universe?" I was stunned for a moment

"so you mean I'm in a world similar to mine and I just took Gulf's place? I never believed in this theory before"

"but it's the only explanation, both of you existed in the same country, in the same city, share the same name and birth date which should be impossible" Mew is right, it's the only explanation, so I jumped into a parallel world and start a new life different from my other job

"that weird star really messed my life"

"but you said before that you preferred it here then your other life"

"yes I do and it seem this will be my life from now on"

"I'm sure you can do it, you already got used to your new job so just keep doing your best until you completely settle down here"

"that's the only choice I'm left with, first thing come first, I need to go meet Gulf's family, I just hope they won't notice anything"

"I'm sure the other Gulf's wish came true too so they surely won't notice a thing"
