Zeiden had freshened up after his workout in the gym downstairs. He walked out of the locker room, his hair was still damp from the shower, when he spotted Adrik going hard at the punching-bag hanging down from the ceiling. A couple of hours had gone by and it was nearing ten o'clock, since they all came back from the ballet academy and Adrik hadn't calmed down at all.

The sound of each punch resonated against the concrete walls, it was almost like Zeiden felt each solid impact himself. Adrik poured every ounce of frustration into the bag, so the poor thing was definitely going to break if he went on like this.

"Are you going to chill any time soon, buddy?" Zeiden asked, but Adrik punched and punched again. Zeiden winced at the brute force. "That's a no, then?"

With a weary sigh, Zeiden climbed up the stairs and went to his brothers who were gathered in the living-room. They were discussing the plan for the meet-up with Big B tomorrow.

"Um, Adrik is downstairs beating the crap out of the poor punching bag," said Zeiden.

Isaiah, Lazarus looked up at Zeiden. They seemed tense as well ever since what happened at the ballet school. Well, that was to be expected since nothing like that had ever happened before. All of them were still in shock because the major rule in the Iron Blood pack was broken.

Zeiden always knew the three rules in this house, like a mantra. First was to never dirty Lazarus's kitchen; second was to never leave weapons in Evelyn's reach, unless supervision was close by. And the final most important was to never touch Adrik unless being torn to pieces was the person's kink or wish.

Zeiden may have been known as the wildcard in this group of men, but even he obliged to these rules, especially the last one. He never tested it or even challenged it because that would mean death and he liked his head attached to his body.

However, today the unexplainable happened. Evelyn's ballet teacher had fallen into Adrik's arms and her body wasn't mangled and splattered on the floor like some insignificant insect.

"There's only one explanation for this, you know," said Lazarus.

Isaiah raked his dark hair away from his hard gaze and furrowed brows. "How bad is he looking?" he asked Zeiden.

"Apart from the scary glare, sweaty and ripped body, I'm thinking he's pretty bad," said Zeiden, as he sat with them near the fire, that had been lit up in front of them.

Isaiah got to his feet with a sigh and paced in front of them. He hadn't changed out of his suit yet, which just showed how hard he had been working over the plan to infiltrate the meet with Bruno tomorrow. He had taken off the jacket, tie, vest and rolled the sleeves of his shirt showing those tattoos, which he had gotten once he had started training with their father Ivan Petrov.

But that was all old history like Isaiah's tattoos, which people thought were for style. However, Zeiden knew it was to hide the past from his body. The tattoos were a reminder that Isaiah had overcome the torture of the Petrov pack.

Unlike his brothers, Zeiden didn't remember much about the Petrov's. He couldn't remember his father's face nor his mother. Only thing he remembered was being protected by Isaiah and Lazarus as a kid.

The Petrov was a pristine name and they were all renowned pack leaders. But to Zeiden and his brothers, the Petrov was nothing of the sorts. Worse than scum and Zeiden spent his entire life knowing that the Petrov's weren't loyal to anyone. Petrov's were the enemy, and Zeiden believed that Isaiah was right to kill them off. So, they wouldn't taint this world any longer.
