It was fair to say that Adrik was fucking pissed.

First it was Aziel, then Marcello getting into a bloodbath with Bruno and now some mother-fucker named Elliot. Adrik was not in a gaming mood at all right now. Frankly, he never was but now he definitely wasn't playing around. It took everything in him just stand still, otherwise his wolf would've emerged a long fucking time ago. The only thing holding him together was that his mate was standing beside him. Her hand in his; it was like a chain wrapped around his throat restraining him from going berserk.

As they all stood in the basement area they called the kiln, Adrik's gaze was only on the target who was limp on a chair, unable to escape or run. Adrik took that away from him, happily he might add. Vivian's father who was supposed to be dead had survived and came after Rosalie. That was a big mistake. Elliot could've lived longer if he hadn't done that. But the bastard fucked up and chose to come straight to death itself.

Through the ringing in Adrik's ears, he felt his wolf eyeing Elliot with an unquenchable thirst for blood. Both of them were finally on the same page about this. Adrik wanted blood- Elliot's blood for what he tried to do to Rosalie and Vivian.

"Adrik," a voice called out.

Adrik didn't say a word. He was too absorbed in his needs.

Rosalie squeezed his hand in hers, the warmth of her hand brought some realization in him. "You weren't kidding when you said you'd rip his throat out," she laughed a little.

Maybe it was his hard expression that told her that he wasn't kidding about any of this. Or it was the fact that his raging pheromones were choking the very air out of the room.

"So, what did Elliot even want with you anyways?" Lazarus asked.

Always with the questions, so many damn questions, thought Adrik. Right now, Adrik didn't care for that, he only needed action.

Rosalie let go of his hand suddenly. She put them in the pocket of her sweater. He saw that, he saw the spark of life leave her beautiful eyes as she recalled the events from today.

Something snapped in Adrik. Like the chain had broken off his collar around his neck. No one else saw it, when he vanished and something twisted and cold emerged from inside him. Adrik was gone into that darkness he ventured when he had nightmares. Now, he was the nightmare for the man in the kiln room, which allowed the Iron pack to get rid of bodies or torture their prey for answers. Any dirty deed was done in the large concrete room, that could withstand any fire and trap all the screams and cries. Perfect for what Adrik was ready for right now.

"He wanted money," Rosalie's voice pierced through his ears, like shards of glass.

But he barely heard Isaiah's next question. Something about why Elliot would do that.

Rosalie answered. "He lost everything in the fire. The fire that Vivian set to the house."

Adrik's ears perked at the sound of that pup's name. In his head, he remembered Vivian shaking underneath her bed. Her hands over her ears, her eyes full of terror and tears. He had no other choice but to pull her out himself and hold her. He remembered himself in the pup. The way he had returned after each kill at that age, but no one held him. No one dared to touch the beast that Samuel Petrov raised.

"Vivian set the fire?" Ronin astounded.

"Yeah, she was afraid when my sister died," she told them.
