Jason was busy taking notes when someone sat on the vacant seat beside him. Agad na nakuha nito ang atensiyon ng kalahati ng klase, halos lahat ay kinikilig at ngiting-ngiti habang pinapanood ang dalawa.

Jason looked up and laughed at them while Lilith only gave a small, annoyed smile before giving her boyfriend a serious look.

"Ano?" Impit na bulong ni Jason na bahagyang dumistansya sa nobya. Nakakatakot naman kasi kung tumingin 'tong si Lilith.

"I told you, you shouldn't have done that..." She said with a frown before sighing, toying her fingers with the single rose that he gave to her earlier this day. "Ang alin?" Nakasimangot na ring tanong ni Jason bago tiningnan ang hawak-hawak ni Lilith. "I just asked my girlfriend to prom, anong masama 'dun?"

Lils just stared blankly at her boyfriend before making a face.

"You asked in the middle of the general assembly! Pasalamat ka at trip to the guidance office lang ang natanggap mo at hindi suspension!"

He chuckled before tapping his pen on the rose that she's holding. "It's not like I got in trouble. Kinamusta lang naman ako Ninong George sa loob ng office niya... It was all worth it," mas lalo lang umirap si Lilith sa pagbanggit ng nobyo sa ninong niyang guidance counselor din ng paaralan. "Pwede naman kasing tanungin nalang ako sa personal or nag-text—"

"Hindi pwede 'yun Lils! Last week may pa-flash mob si Fernandez ng Section B... 'Nung nakaraan may pa-tarpaulin si Narcis—"

"Why do you always feel the need to outshine others?" She hissed again, making Jason frown this time. "Ano ba talagang problema mo? You looked happy earlier this morning when I did that..."

"I was," agad na ginapangan ng konsensiya si Lilith sa pagtrato nito kay Jason. She reached for his hand in which he immediately held tighter. "I still am... It's just that..."

"What?"

She bit her lip before gesturing the guy that was sitting at the back of the class. He was supposed to be sitting on the seat that she's currently occupying but decided a week ago, when Jason and Lils started dating, that it would be better for him to take the farthest seat away from the blackboard despite of him having a very poor eyesight.

Parehong tiningnan ng mag-nobyo si Luke na nakasimangot habang nagbabasa ng libro. He's their bestfriend. They knew each other since they were eight... They grew up together. And unlucky for them, he's the most sensitive among their trio.

He didn't take the idea of them dating well, especially because he was still upset that he got dumped by a girlfriend a few months ago.

"Hindi ka parin kinakausap?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Jason sa nobya.

Lilith, still looking sadly at their other friend, shook her head before glancing at her boyfriend. "You?"

Huminga ng malalim si Jason saka umiling din. "Hindi parin. Hindi din ako pinapansin kapag pinupuntahan ko sakanila, pinapagalitan na nga kami ni Ate Millie pero mas lalong nag-iinarte 'yang isang 'yan. Alam mo bang pinagbagsakan niya ako ng pinto 'nung papasok na sana ako sa kwarto niya?"

"He did?" Lils tossed her hair to the side before glancing at Luke again. Ngayon ay nakatingin na ito sa dalawa.

The couple froze on their seat. Lilith went for her tactic of scaring him in an attempt for him to give in because she knew how much her glares affect him while Jason gave his long-time buddy a warm smile, even raised his hand in an attempt to wave but Luke only rolled his eyes and looked away. Ngayon ay nakatuon na ang atensiyon nito sa cellphone niya at mukhang abala na sa paglalaro ng Temple Run.
