[11] The survival test

Knock Knock Knock Knock

"GET LOST" Akari groaned putting the sheets above her head. "Sorry Akari but you have to wake up now or else we gonna be late" She heard Sasuke saying behind the door. "I am waking up when I want. I don't give a crap to this stupid rule of waking up at 5 O'clock. Now go away" She replied. "But Kakashi-sensei said-" She got up furiously and abruptly opened the door. "WHY DON'T YOU LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE? GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE" She yelled and slammed the door close and went back to bed. Meanwhile Sasuke stood in front of the door shocked. For a while he had lost the ability to move. "O-Okay then. S-See you l-later." He managed to say and slowly walk away. Akari sighed and looked at the ceiling. 'Don't you think you were too harsh with him?' She heard a familiar little voice ringing in her head. It was the voice of the old Akari. The little one who loved him dearly and hoped with all her heart that he would love her back. Akari snorted at the thought. "Too harsh..." She mumbled. "That was nothing compared to what he used to say to me in the past"

Meanwhile, Sasuke walked silently to the training grounds thoughtfully. Those words Akari said was very nostalgic to him. He had heard them before.......

Six years old Sasuke turned over his bed, not wanting to get up. Then he felt someone shaking him a little. "Sasuke-san wake up" he heard a little voice said. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes to see his twin sister. "What do you want?" he groaned. She looked at the ground nervously. "W-Well M-Mikoto-sama t-told m-me t-to w-wake y-you u-up" She stuttered. "Go away" He said and covered himself with the sheets. "B-But M-Mikoto-sama s-said-" "WHY DON'T YOU LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE. GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE" He snapped at her face. She widened her eyes shocked before looking away. "O-Okay t-then Sasuke-san"

He sighed remembered something his mother said. 'Whatever bad things you do, they always catch up to you'. "What should I do then?" He mumbled. As he arrived he saw Sakura and Naruto coming, half asleep. When Sakura saw him, she immediately lightened up. "Sasuke-kun" She squealed. Naruto looked around him before asking "Oi Temme where's Akari-Chan?" Sasuke growled and didn't bother replying. Something Naruto understand but decided to let it go.

SIX HOURS LATER

Footsteps made Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke snap out of their daydreams. "Akari-Chan!" Naruto exclaimed. It was indeed Akari who was coming to them while eating an apple. When Naruto saw her, he ran and gave her a teddy hug which caught her off guard just like last time. "Where were you Akari-Chan I was worried. I asked Temme but he told me nothing" He said releasing her. "I was sleeping" She replied and took a bite of her apple. "What are you doing? Kakashi-sensei told us not to eat" Sakura said. "Don't you understand? Use your forehead for once. I came late too while he told us to come early. It means that I don't give a crap of what Kakashi said." Akari replied and finished her apple.

"But still! Show some respect to our sensei" Akari sent her a glare that made her shut her mouth. Then Kakashi appeared in the fields. "Hey guys" He greeted. "YOU'RE LATE" Naruto and Sakura yelled pointing their fingers at him. He scratched the back of his head nervously. "I am sorry but a black cat crossed my path so I had to take a long way" He said making his team sweat dropped. 'Lame excuse.' They thought. Kakashi walked to the three logs and put a set alarm on one of them. "The alarm is set on noon. Your task is simple" He showed them three bells. "You are to get these bells before time's out. If you don't, you will be tied up at one of these logs and watch me as I eat your lunch in front of you"

Automatically Team seven minus Akari's stomachs growled loudly. Akari only smirked. "I was expecting this" She mumbled making Kakashi also smirk. "Wait! There's only three bells while we're four" Sakura said. "Yes it means that one of you will forcefully fail, won't have lunch and will be sent back to the Academy." Team seven minus Akari widened their eyes. "But there's a chance that all of you fail. You can use any weapon you want." "But Kakashi-sensei we could hurt you!" Sakura exclaimed. "Yeah exceptionally when you can't dodge an eraser" Naruto said laughing.
