Akari yawned and stretched herself up. 'It has been ages since I last slept on a bed' she thought. Luckily Sasuke had another room in his apartment and gave it to her. She got up and went to the bathroom where she did her morning routine. When she walked in the dining room she saw table filled with a breakfast and Sasuke was already eating. When he saw her, his face lightened. "Morning sis" he said. "Don't call me like that" She groaned and took an apple out of the fridge before walking out of his apartment. Sasuke looked down at the table. The day before, he swore he would do anything to make Akari smile again and make her trust him. But it's gonna be hard....very hard.

'Why is he friendly with me all of sudden? Does he seriously think that I am going to forgive him that easily?' She thought as she continued walking down the streets to the Academy. "ANOTHER BOWL OLD MAN" A voice yelled. A very familiar voice. She turned to the direction of the voice and saw a shop. A ramen shop to be exact. 'Could it be...' Out of curiosity she entered in the shop and saw a certain blonde knucklehead. "Naruto?" Said boy turned his head and lightened up his face when he saw her. "Akari-Chan. It's good to see ya! What are you doing here?" He questioned. "What are YOU doing here? You should be at the Academy by now" She stated. "I know but I needed breakfast. My stock of ramen is dry so I had to come here and eat" he explained and went back digging in his bowl.

Akari sweat dropped. 'He even have a stock of ramen.' "Hey Akari wanna eat some?" She shook her head. "No maybe later. Eat fast we gonna be late" He nodded and the second later he finished his 9th bowl. 'Seriously' Akari thought while sweat dropping again. He paid for the bowls and they both walked out of the ramen shop. "I can't believe you ate nine bowl of ramen" She stated. He grinned and replied "Me neither. I guess I wasn't too much hungry" Akari stopped walking and gave him a WTF face making Naruto laugh but it didn't last for too long as he saw Sasuke staring at them.

"Oi Temme" Naruto greeted. Sasuke didn't reply but kept staring at them -and by them, I mean Akari of course- before walking away. Akari 'tsk'ed as he walked out of their view. "Akari-Chan why aren't you getting along with Sasuke?" Naruto asked. The raven-haired girl looked at the blue sky, deep in thought. 'Why do I hate him...' Then she turned her face to Naruto and said "That's a story for another day Naruto. Let's go now or we gonna be late" Naruto reluctantly nodded and followed her as she walked away.

Akari was seating beside a tired Naruto reading a book. So far the exam was a piece of cake for her and they were all waiting for the final part of the exam to start. Their wishes were granted when Iruka walked in the classroom. "Listen up everyone we will start the last part of the exam now. When your name is called you enter in the room over there. Your task is to perform clones" He said. Naruto's face dropped instantly. Akari looked at him and thought 'Clones must not be his strong spot' "Hey Naruto" he turned his head to her and saw her giving him a small smile. "Just stay focus and you will do it with ease" He blinked before flashing her one of his goofy grin. "Thanks Akari-Chan. You're the best" He exclaimed happily.

She chuckled and went back to her book. Soon students started to be called one by one and the class started to get empty. "Uzumaki Naruto" The blonde boy gulped and started sweating until he felt a hand messing his hair. "Steady Naruto. Breathe in and out. I know you can do it" Akari said making him less tensed. "Thanks Akari-Chan" He said and walked to the room. She sighed and went back to her book. "Why are you different toward this dobe?" Sasuke asked. She then realized that they were the only students left in the classroom. 'Great... Just great.'

"I don't need to justify myself and exceptionally for you" She said not even taking a slight glance at him. 'Just try again' he thought. "I hope you will graduate and become a Genin." He said. "Whatever..." "Maybe after we could train together" "No" She bluntly replied. "Then what do you want to do-" "I just want you to shut the hell up and leave me alone!" She yelled glaring at him. Sasuke widened his eyes in surprise before looking away, his eyes holding sadness and anger at the same time. "Uchiha Akari" Iruka called. Said girl got up and walked in the room. 'What should I do for you to understand that I am sorry for everything I have done?' Sasuke thought watching her leaving.

Meanwhile Akari stood in front of Iruka and Mizuki with an annoyed expression. "You know what to do Akari." Iruka said. She closed her eyes and in a pouf ten clones of her appeared. They both smiled. "Great job Akari you pass. Here's your forehead protector" Iruka said and threw her a headband. She caught it, tied it on her forehead and walked out of the room. When she walked out, she saw the other students with their parents and the sight made her frown. 'Mother I missed you so much.' She thought sadly. Then something caught her attention. She saw Naruto sitting on a swing sadly. She walked toward him and ruffled his hair. He looked up at her with sorrowful eyes.

"Akari-Chan. I see you've passed. Congratulations." He said sadly. She bent to his level and kissed his forehead. Naruto widened his eyes before blushing madly. "What kind of Hokage would you be if you give up in front of the slightest difficulty? Or maybe being Hokage isn't that important to you." She said. "I-I" "Never give up Naruto. Just because you failed now doesn't mean you will fail tomorrow. Never give on what you really want. I know that it's tough to wait but it's even tougher to regret what you gave up" She said, her lips curving in a tiny smile.

Naruto stared at her for a long time before grinning and hugged her tightly. Akari widened her eyes not expecting this sudden action. She didn't even know what to do. Naruto let her go and grinned. "Thank you Akari-Chan. You are the very friend person who is being so kind to me. I promise I will never give up. I will become strong for you. I will always protect you and I will become a great Hokage for you" He said. Akari chuckled and messed his hair. "That's the Naruto I know" She said. "I might get going. I need to train to become strong. See ya later Akari-Chan" He ran forward while waving at her. Akari's gaze softened and waved back, watching him leave. 'Naruto...'
