[7] The return

A peaceful day was going on at Konohagakure. With villagers doing their activities while chatting with one another, telling one another's problems or jokes, with the Hokage silently doing his paperwork and with children playing all around the village, the Hidden leaf village was really peaceful....

Slowly, a shadow moved slowly to the gates of that peaceful village. The person was wearing a black cloak and hood making him unable to be recognized. The gatekeepers known as Kotetsu and Izumo watched the person anxious.

"State your business" Kotetsu ordered.

"I want to speak with the Hokage"

The chuunin flinched at the coldness of the voice.

"And who are you?"

The person turned his head to them (though they still couldn't see his face) and groaned. "I said I want to speak with the Hokage"

This time the voice was more threatened and gave goose bumps to the chuunins.

"T-Then we will escort you there" Izumo said.

"Okay" the mysterious replied and followed them.

It was on the way that Kotetsu and Izumo noticed that the stranger was probably a child around 12 years judging by the height and the voice (even if it was cold).

Knock.....Knock......Knock

"Come in" Hiruzen Sarutobi, 3rd Hokage of the Hidden leaf village said, removing his eyes from his paperwork. Then Kotetsu and Izumo entered with a strange looking person who was wearing a black cloak and hood. He raised an eyebrow curiously.

"We're sorry to bother you Lord Hokage but we found this person at the gates" Kotetsu said.

"He wouldn't state his name unless we bring him to you" Izumo finished.

Hokage stared at the stranger before facing the chuunins again.

"Thank you for bringing him here. You may go now." He dismissed them.

They both bowed and walked away, closing the door behind them.

"My mother used to tell me stories about you but it's the first time I see you for real Hokage-Sama."

Hiruzen raised an eyebrow. "Now that you saw me, can you please state your name?"

"Of course" He let the cloak on him fall to reveal....

Hiruzen widened his eyes. "You're..." He choked on his own words.

Never had he thought that he will meet her. He immediately summoned ANBUS and ordered "Get all the chuunins and Jōnins here at once."

MEANWHILE
AT THE ACADEMY

Iruka was teaching his students a new lesson when an ANBU appeared in the middle of the class making most of the students gasp.

"Iruka Umino, Hokage-Sama is demanding you at once. It's an emergency" the ANBU said and disappeared as fast as he appeared. Iruka turned to his class.

"Okay everyone I am off to the Hokage's office. Stay calm until I come back" he said and walked away and as soon as he was gone the place became noisy.

Girls (except for the Hyūga heiress) took advantage of the situation and gathered around the famous Uchiha Sasuke, swooning over him. But the young Uchiha wasn't even looking at them. His attention was far...very far. There was something that was going through his mind and for the first time it wasn't about his revenge. It was something more important....
