'Wonder in which team I will be placed' Akari thought gazing at the blue sky being traveled through by sunrays with birds flying high and proud. 'Doesn't matter. As long as I am not with stupid fan girls/boys or him, any team would be perfect.' And of course by him, she meant her beloved twin who insisted to walk with her to the Academy and it was no use yelling, groaning and even swearing. The boy was as stubborn as herself. "Hey Akari" He called her trying to start a conversation. "Hm?" She exclaimed taking her book out of her Hip pouch and starting reading it paying no attention to him. "I-I hope we will be on the same team you and I." He said and it took all her willpower for Akari not to groan. 'And I once thought Naruto was annoying' "Whatever..." She mumbled not fully aware of how much it hurt Sasuke each time she answered like that. Another attempt to make her trust him had come down into a failure and this was just pulling him deeper in hopelessness.
They soon arrived in their class and discovered that no one was there yet. Sasuke sat at his usual seat, secretly hoping that Akari would sit beside him but lost faith when he saw her sitting a little far from him, where Naruto had the habit to seat. He couldn't understand how the #1 knucklehead, the dead last of the class could make so many positive reactions out of her while he only got groans, snaps, yells and all. That was one of the times Sasuke would think the world was very strange and in a way...unfair. After all he was her twin sister after all. She was supposed to be that nice with him instead of someone she just known for two days. He knew what he had done in the past to her were horrible but couldn't she understand that he is sorry? What was he doing wrong?
He simply sighed finding no answer to his questions. Then an idea emerged in his mind. 'Why don't you ask Naruto? He seems to know her better than you and he could help you getting close to Akari. I am sure she would listen to him' He thought about it for a while before shaking his head in disapproval. 'Why should I ask this dobe? I don't need anything from him. I will get Akari to get along with me by myself'.........Uchihas and their pride.....
As time passed, students entered in the class and filled it with noise. Sasuke looked emotionlessly in front of him, hands barely above his nose while Akari continued reading her book, the two of them completely ignoring everyone around. That's Uchihas for ya! "AKARI-CHAN" Said girl looked behind her and saw a certain blonde coming to her, a headband tied around his forehead. She raised a curious eyebrow a little surprised to see him. "Morning Akari-Chan. It is good to see you" He greeted her. "It isn't like I am not happy to see you Naruto but what are you doing here? And where did you get this headband?"
"Oh that..." he touched it and grinned "Well you won't believe me but I passed. Iruka-sensei allowed me to after I performed the Shadow Clones jutsu." At the sound of the jutsu, Akari widened her eyes before slapping him on the head very hard. "OUCH AKARI-CHAN IT HURTS" He whined rubbing the back of his head. "Idiot" Was all she replied before going back to her book. "Anyway I hope we will be on the same team" He said grinning as usual. She looked at him and gave him a tiny smile. "Likewise" She said and went back to the book. "Akari-Chan why don't you smile? I mean a real smile. I am sure you look really pretty when you smile for real" Naruto said frowning. At that moment her body tensed and she lost all her concentration. "I forgot how to smile" She replied making him widen his eyes. "Really? How? When? Why?" He asked all at once. Akari let a moment of silence between them before replying "that's a story for another day Naruto" making him pout. "You are no funny Akari-Chan" he whined.
Akari chuckled and was about to read again when a loud bang was heard. She had no intention of seeing who was responsible of the noise and decided to go back reading but she felt Naruto getting up. Curiosity got the best of her and she saw Naruto sitting near Sasuke looking at the door, blushing faintly. She followed her gaze and regretted it when she saw Sakura and Ino. The most annoying fan girls in this Academy. They were arguing about something when Sakura looked to the direction of Sakura and smiled brightly before walking/running to him and that action only increased his blush. Akari fell like she could gag any moment. 'Naruto please don't tell me you like this worthless, pathetic fan girl!' She thought. Don't get her wrong though she didn't like him that way. It is just she couldn't understand how could he be interested in someone like that pinkette (And I agree with her). In her point of view, if someone was worthy enough to be with Naruto, it would have been that shy Hyūga girl. At least she wasn't a fan girl of Sasuke and seemed to really like Naruto. For her, Naruto shouldn't be interested in Sakura but the Hyūga girl, Hinata (And I TOTALLY agree with her)
