TWO DAYS LATER
Within nature lies the cure for humanity

Sasuke sighed as he looked at his room's ceiling thinking of a way to distract himself. Today was Saturday, his mother has gone off with some friends of hers, his father has gone off to another meeting and his brother was on a mission. Also he didn't have any friend so he was naturally bored.

Then he remembered than Akari was also at home. "Maybe I should go talk to her" he thought.

Since he had talk with Mikoto he started wondering why he hated Akari so much. That night he didn't know how to reply so Mikoto dropped the topic but after hours of thinking he finally found the answer. He only did this just because he wanted to be noticed by his father. He started feeling guilt for that and wanted to change this but never got the chance to because either he was too shy to make a move either she was avoiding him.

"Okay today's the day." He mumbled and got up from his bed.

He walked out of the room and walked toward Akari's room. He arrived in front of her door, took a deep breath and was about to knock when he heard his sister singing

Hold my hand and fly,
Never say goodbye.
Cross the open sky,
Leave the world behind.
I will be alright.
If you stay by my side.

Spring and summer
Love and laughter
We'll live happy ever after.
We'll fly higher than we thought we'd be
Because you showed me
How to believe.

Tiny shining star,
I know who you are.
You're never very far.
We'll never be apart.
Sparkle in my eye,
Light the sky tonight.

Spring and summer
Love and laughter
We'll live happy ever after.
We'll fly higher than we thought we'd be
Because you showed me
How to believe... believe

Fall and winter
Love and laughter
We'll live happy ever after.
We'll fly higher than we thought we'd be
Because you showed me
How to believe, yeah

Hold my hand and fly,
Never say goodbye

Sasuke was fascinating by the voice of his sister. She had a beautiful voice,  a very beautiful one. He forgot why he was there and returned to his room.
Meanwhile when she finished singing, she felt like someone was watching her. She opened her door but found nobody.
"That's weird. I would have sworn someone was there" she thought out loud.

THE SAME NIGHT

Akari was in her room as usual and was writing quotes. Wondering why she did that huh? Well her quotes talked about the world in its entirety. She talked about everything good or bad.  She wrote them with simplicity but such wisdom you rarely find in a six years old girl.

She sighed as she finished writing the last quote for the night. She pasted it on the wall and laid on her mattress, hugging the teddy bear Shisui gave her. She was about to sink into one of her dreams when she heard someone scream. She widened her eyes as she recognized the voice.

"Sasuke" She got up and ran to her twin's room. There she found him shaking and crying. Akari's eyes softened.  "I see he had a nightmare". She walked to him and rubbed his back. "Shhhh it is okay now. It was just a bad dream" she whispered and wiped his tears away.

Sasuke didn't look at her since he was still in his trance. "Calm down Sasuke-San. Try to sleep"

"NO" he yelled hugging his kneels while weeping.

Akari sighed before handing him something.

"There you can have it" she said.

For once he seemed out of his trance and looked at her. She was extending her teddy bear, the very one that Shisui offer her.

"Sasuke-San this is Mr. Softly. When I am scared of nightmares, darkness and all, I hug him very tightly and pouf all my fears fly away like magic." she said happily.

"I am sure you will have a good sleep with him" Sasuke looked at the teddy.

He might not talk to his sister frequently but he knew something about her: she had never let someone but herself touch her teddy. So why was she willing to give it to him?

That was when the arrogant Sasuke decided to take control. He hmphed and looked away. "Leave me alone you weakling. You are the one preventing me from sleeping. Why don't you just disappear?  Nobody loves you here." Akari widened her eyes and her heart shattered.

"Didn't you hear what I say? Go away and take your stupid teddy with you. I don't need anything coming from you." He snapped.

Akari looked at her teddy, her raven hair masking her facial expression.

"Why?" She whispered. "Why are you all so mean with me?" Her voice sounded broken. "All I wanted was to be accepted by you. I have never done something wrong so why? Why just because I can't use Sharingan I have to be punish like that? All I wanted...."

She looked up and Sasuke found himself staring at tearstained face. He widened his eyes. This was the very first time she cried in front of him.

"All I wanted..." she started "All I wanted is.... YOU BEING ABLE TO LOVE ME AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU" she yelled and ran out of his room, her arm covering her eyes, throwing on the ground her teddy.

Sasuke stared as she left the room and was surprised to see his mother with a sad expression of her face before she followed Akari. Sasuke's gaze felt on the teddy. He took it and stared at it as he remembered his sister's words. Those words entered his mind and was ten millions times worse than the nightmare. For the very first time he understood her feelings and mentally slapped himself for what he have done.

"Forgive me sister"
