“Big brother? What are you doing here?” the Samurai gasped, still staring at the person behind Arndolfr who is currently pointing something sharp on his back.

“Huh? What do you mean by ‘big brother –’” Arndolfr blurted out but the person behind him cut across him.

“My little brother is still not done talking to me, so please don’t interrupt,” the person behind him growled. “Anyway, are you the trainer who comes from the town of Twinleaf?”

Arndolfr is the type of person who doesn’t want to comply with other people’s demands if they happen to antagonize him. He immediately ran away from the person several paces and turned around. He couldn’t decide if he should chuckle a bit or beat the heck out of that person when he finally saw him.

That person was wearing something an ancient soldier would wear: a plumed helmet that covered his nose and cheeks, a red cape that reached his ankles, and warriors’ sandals. He’s also carrying an overly-large shield that is only two heads shorter than him and a sword that looked really heavy. What ruined his look is the plain white T-shirt with the words “Endless Summer” printed in yellow and the dark green cargo shorts he’s wearing.

Arndolfr resorted to scolding that person, having failed to decide which of his first two choices he would choose.

“Are you out of your mind!? You could have skewered me with that sword of yours had I not ran away in time!” Arndolfr ranted.

Surprisingly, the man with the helmet laughed. “Gahaha! You don’t have to worry about anything! This is just a…”

The man went towards Arndolfr and whispered in his ear, “…replica.”

Arndolfr became even angrier at this, but he just had to keep his cool for a few more seconds. He motioned the man to lower his head so he can also whisper in his ear, but when he did, Arndolfr screamed, “HOW IN THE NAME OF ARCEUS AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT!?”

His voice was so loud that the man actually jumped backwards from Arndolfr. Arndolfr then just sighed and said, “Whatever, I’m out of here.” He then turned to the Samurai and said, “Thank you so much for the battle. Let’s do it again sometime.”

Arndolfr was about to walk away when the newcomer called on him. “Stop! You know very well that a real Pokémon Trainer never backs down from a challenge from another Trainer!”

He turned around and replied, “Yes, your brother already told me that. Is there anything else you want to say?”

The man brought out a Pokéball and said, “Isn’t it obvious? I’m challenging you to a Pokémon battle! I already see that you’re not a novice, just like how my brother proved it, but I can see that you still don’t have what it takes to be a real trainer. If you really are the trainer you think you are, you will man up and accept my challenge!”

Arndolfr took a deep breath and said, “Then I’ll consider this as a loss. Vladimir just had his first battle and Eleanor had it rough a while ago, so I would want them to rest until I reach Pewter City.”
