I led Dream throughout the back of Skeppy's mansion and my way towards the nearest forest. I couldn't help him. If he got caught, it was his life. Besides, he agreed with escaping.
I could see the lights turn on in the SMP, and their faces block parts of them, leaving only a shadow. It was only a matter of time.
"What happens when they find out it was you?" Dream asked me as we hid underground.
"They won't ever find out. I'm smarter than that. I've been planning this for months." I tell him as I peer out.
I covered our tracks perfectly. Not even the animals of the night would remember our passing here.
I grabbed a torch on the side of a tunnel and used it to see my way through. I didn't need it, but Dream did.
I motioned for his to follow me, proceeding to silence him to remain quiet.
"This is a very sensitive system. It's more complex than you think. You see my footsteps: step in them. And whatever you do, don't look back." I whisper to him.
"Wh-" he began to ask questions.
"I'll explain once we get there. For now, I need you to trust me." Not like he had any other option.
We walked for about five minutes. And very few seconds, we would hear footsteps. Little did Dream expect.
The footsteps stopped coming, and we stopped moving. I stood for a moment in silence to make sure it was safe to leave.
I turned my hand not holding the torch into a drill shape. I dug through rocks and dirt before I hit a tree root. We were here.
Dream stood idly as I finished my work. I set the torch down and jumped through the top. The hole went about eight feet up.
I stretched my hand down to catch Dream and pull him up as well. He took in his grayish-blue surroundings.
"I've seen a lot of things, and I've never heard of this place. Where are we?" Dream asked while inspecting the blue grass.
"This is my home. I live in this tree here. I help you get up in a moment. Technically, we walked for about three months nonstop. That's what made that tunnel special." I tell him while leaning back on my tree.
"Three months?!" Dream yelled in surprise. "How does hat even work?"
"A very delicate system I call reverse tiding. Basically, you move really fast in it, but it's extraordinarily rigged to harm people not meant to be there."
Dream continued to take in his surroundings. He was a Dreamon, yet never heard of these lands.
"You said this was your home? Could we go inside?" He asked me while pointing to the top of the tree.
"Sure."
I jumped to the top of it and extended my arm to the ground for him.
"Stay perfectly still. It'll hurt it you don't." I inform him before grabbing his arm.
I pulled him up to it, throwing him into a chair near the outer parts of the main room. He didn't get hurt, but he was winded for a moment.
"How do you do that?!" He asked again in surprise.
"To think, you're supposed to understand this, yet you've never been exposed to your people."
"You said something like that before. What do you mean 'my people'?"
Despite the Dreamons being an entire species, he had never seen them. Not to mention the fact he is intended to be Elder. He may still be taught.
"There is a strong species here, which mostly specializes in security and emergencies. Known as Dreamons. I'm sure you've heard the term." I nodded up towards him.
