Mashka knows that she shouldn't take it personally, that him leaving for the frontlines without her was normal practice. In the last few weeks she hates to say she's grown attached to his company. He's been gone two weeks, leaving Mashka with tasks she really didn't care for. Walking from the library to her room she smiles to Rina passing by. The inferni smiles back at her, giving her a wave.

Pausing outside of her door Mashka looks down, she almost knocked over the bleeding hearts in a vase. Grinning, Mashka picks them up holding it close to her chest. Quickly opening her door she places them on the table in the center.

"Are they satisfactory?" The sounds of his voice causes her to turn to see him standing in her doorway.

Distracting her hands she runs them through her hair, nodding towards him. "They're beautiful."

"May I?" Looking around the room Mashka understands what he's asking.

Taking off her cloak she gestures for him to enter. "Of course, how was your trip?"

Walking into the room she watches him observe the state of it. It was decently clean, she did have a kefta thrown across the bed, but all in all decent enough for the General to stop by. He closes the door behind him, following Mashka in sitting down at her small table.

"Boring." he answers honestly.

Laughing Mashka is surprised at how blunt he's being. "Boring?"

"Yes, I didn't have a pesky heartrender to mock my conversation skills." Mashka listens in to his heart, it's always so steady, so purposeful. The grin he gives her is enough to make her faint, the way his nose scrunches and rounds out his face.

Mashka decides to continue with his teasing, raising a hand to wave him off. "That heartrender sounds like a pain, better off leaving her here."

"On the contrary, she's quite interesting." Mashka raises her eyebrows at that statement.

"Oh?"

Nodding Kirigan leans back against his seat. "She knows how to kill a man from a mile away and yet she's still got a kind heart. She does tend to put herself last, then is difficult when you try to help her."

"Some find it admirable you know?" she plays along too easily, he's too easy to be around. There's always a risk with him being around, danger everywhere. Yet he makes her feel so safe.

Kirigan crosses his arms across his chest. "It's admirable until you have to worry about her safety."

"I'm sure that pesky heartrender of yours can make her keep." she whispers, noticing that she's leaning on the table, her chin on her hands.
