Almost a year into their relationship Mashka and Aleksander decided it might be time to officially announce their romance. It would look bad if Mashka was to be promoted to his second by Aleksander without it being public knowledge. Only those in their close circles knew for sure, and rumors ran wild often.
It was secret outings and sneaking a kiss between meetings and trainings, Mashka loved every second of it. It's as though she got her lover all to herself, and hardly anyone asked questions. They worked together closely, it would be more suspicious if she wasn't there. Though they decided together it was best to go public Mashka almost wishes she could have more time just the two of them. It's a selfish thought, she's gotten two years working only for him, and a year of having him to herself.
Laying in the bath Mashka closes her eyes, it was a long day of meetings, teaching, and training. Hair flowing off the edge of the tub she sinks into the porcelain. Smiling she hears a heartbeat walking towards the room. Aleksander.
She stays where she is as she hears the door open and shut. Only opening them when she feels a kiss to her forehead. Peeping one eye open she sends him a sleepy grin. Pulling a stool he leans against the edge, putting the tips of his fingers into the water.
"Evening, love." he whispers as he takes his kefta off.
Humming she gives him a quick peck on the lips. "Join me?" she raises her eyebrows up at him.
"Are you trying to seduce me, Miss Lavna?" he pulls away, a twinkle in his eye.
Laughing Mashka watches as he disrobes himself. "Why? Is it working?"
"Certainly." Mashka smirks as she moves to let him join behind her.
The water splashes slightly as he gets in, settling into the tub. Sitting between his legs Mashka rests her head just above his heart. There was something she found so soothing about listening to it. Keeping to it's rhythm she relaxes into his bare chest. She loved feeling his skin against hers.
"I haven't developed a heart murmur yet, my Mash." he teases her whilst starting to massage her shoulders.
His heart was always so loud, his bones amplifying every cell in her body. "I could only hope to one day have such a steady heart as yours." she whispers.
"Oh of course, one of my many qualities that put you to sleep." the small chuckle that rolls through him causes Mashka to peak up at his face, he's only looking to her.
Moving herself she traces his cheeks with her hand. "No man has put me to sleep like you do my love."
"And you'll do well to remember that." his eyes lower to her lips.
