(Carlos's POV)

ONE, TWO, THREE, four. I turn around. One, two, three, four. I turn around again. One, two, three, four.

"Carlos." I stop pacing and look to my right, watching Adam walk towards me, a baby in his arm and two children following behind him.

"I don't know what happened." I shake my head. "One minute she was fine, the next she passed out," I rush out, staring at the kids. "Her thumb, she was bleeding. A lot of blood. I don't know what it was from. It was a lot. Too much. It wouldn't stop- "

"Carlos." Adam makes me shut up. "Take a deep breath." I nod, taking a deep breath.

"Why are they here?" I finally ask, eyeing my kids.

  "They wanted to come."

"But I told you to leave them with- "

"Carlos?" I look over Adam's head to watch the good witch, sister of the bad witch, make her way towards us.

"Her." My face falls as I shoot Adam a look.

"They wanted to see Sadie, they were worried. And so am I. How's she doing?"

"I don't know..." Again, thoughts begin flooding my mind. "I don't know what's wrong with her. She was fine and all of a sudden her thumb is bleeding faster than I can keep up with! It was so much! I don't know how it happened! And then she passed out!"

"Was she drunk?" Julie asks, taking Thana from Adam's arms.

  "I don't think so."

"She probably passed out from blood loss."

"Yeah, that's what the doctors said. But it doesn't make sense." I run my hand through my hair.

"It's going to be okay." Julie places her hand on my shoulder. I nod, wrapping my arm around her to pull her into a hug. But something in the back of my head told me it wasn't going to be okay.

(Sadie's POV)

"YEAH, THAT'S WHAT the doctor said. But it doesn't make sense."

No, it doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense why you brought me to the stupid hospital!

I huff, grabbing my apple juice from the little table beside my bed and sipping it. Refreshing!

"Can we see her?" Adam asks and I freeze, looking at the door.

  "No," I whisper.

"She's asleep," Carlos tells him. I relax. Thank you, Carlos. Unfortunately, they're going to come in at some point, and I'm going to have to face them. Unless... I'm not here. A wicked smirk spreads on my lips as I look at the window. All I have to do is...

"So? We can still see her." I tense, whipping my head to the door.

  "No, Aiden- "

"I want to see her!" I sigh. Kids. The doorknob jiggles and I throw myself over the bed, rolling under it to hide. I will not face these people right now.

  "Aiden, she's- "

  "Not here."

"Carlos, are you sure you have the right room?"

  "Yes! I... I think."

"Well clearly you thought wrong, no one's in here," Adam says.

  "B-But she was..."

"Carlos, I think you had the wrong room."

"But... but... ah you people make me feel stupid!"

  "No, Dad, you are stupid."

"Aiden!" I slap my hand over my mouth, hearing Julie and Adam laugh.

"He's not any more stupid than you are," Bailey tells her brother.

  "Shut up nerd!"

"You shut up! Maybe if you keep your mouth shut, you'll eventually find something smart to say!"

  "I hate you!"

"Good! I hate you too!" I sigh. I got to get out of here.

I poke my head out just enough to find all of them standing by the bed, talking and laughing and arguing. I roll my eyes, looking to the door. I can make it. I just have to be fast.

"Don't say that, you love each other. You just don't know it."

"How could I love him? He's about as useless as a sock!"

  "Socks are very useless!"

"Do you mean to say useful? See? An idiot!"

  "Guys!"

  OK now!

I crawl out from under the bed and army crawl towards the door, feeling like my life depends on it.

  Move like a snake.

Finally, I reach the door, slithering past it and jumping to my feet, now in the hallway. That was fun. I should do this stuff more often.

"Why don't we go see where Sadie is?" I gasp and charge down the hallway before they catch me.

  Move like a cheetah.
