I finish my dinner, something called Mac and Cheese, just in time for the training results. They are required viewing in the districts. The sponsors will be watching. My family will be watching. A bigger score means I did good, but it might mean the other tributes target me. I don't need any help with that. I have never seen a twelve except when I was three. The second quarter-quell. I don't remember much, but I think someone from district twelve one it. They recap it all the time. I saw him in the elevator the other day, stunk the place up with the smell of alcohol. Ceaser Flickerman-the Capitol interviewer- shows up on our television. His freaky white teeth smile, and he begins.

"Welcome, Panem! Tonight, the scores of our tributes will be revealed. Depending on their scores, Sponsors will help them in the arena. Let's start!"

I tuck my knees under me on the couch.

"District one, Blaze. Nine! Good job, Blaze. Gleam, nine as well." Congratulations district one!"

"They don't always win you know." Says Ali, unconvincingly.

"District two!" Ceaser begins. "Victor, ten! Raven, eleven! Amazing job, District two."

"Yeah, when they don't, two does." Ashton says to Ali.

She shakes her head.

"District three, Spark, six. Digit, seven. Good job!"

Corala's score is soon.

"District four, Cove, eight. Corala, eight also. Wonderful job!" He laughs. "District five...."

My brain wanders off thinking about my score and by the time I realize we are celebrating Maple and Ashton's nine. Good for them!

"District eight..."

I am far away when Ali's squeal signifies we are next.

"Ashton, nine."

The room is ecstatic. I smile, but without moving my eyes that are fixated on Caesar.

"Faith, eleven." He drags the last word out over a hundred years.

I got an eleven! Ali screams and is now standing on the sofa. Both of our stylists are here, happy for us. Reed is embracing me and Ashton at the same time. I feel a moment of relief in this fight for life, the one that began the moment my name was formed by Ali's lips. Tomorrow the Capitol interviews will take place, and all morning my team and I will be strategizing the games.
