Chapter 8- "Taken a Trip"

Sabre's POV

Ok- I finally finished the basement type thing. All without Galaxy, Illusion, nor Rainbow Steve worrying about me. I'm quite proud of the newly built and decorated basement! I built it all on my own without any help. Shadow just stood there watching me, we had a few conversations but they were really small ones. Like, sometimes he would ask me what I'm doing even though it was pretty obvious, I just told him what my plan was for this build. Once I was done, I took my blindfold off seeing as though it was pretty hot now. I didn't feel my appearance change but I didn't question it.

I don't really know why Shadow just stood at the entrance watching me build when he could have went out exploring the area or something like that. "So- I've got a question." Shadow said, starting a conversation. "Alright, whatcha got?" I asked, curious of what he would reply with. "What happened within the 4 years you were gone? I know you were experimented on, but what else happened?" He asked, walking closer to where I was standing. 'Taking a trip down memory lane now I guess..' I thought to myself, already getting lost in my own mind.

"Why do you wanna know?" I asked cautiously. "Because for some reason I couldn't teleport to you while you were gone." He replied. "Wait- you were trying to stalk me??" I exclaimed, getting a little bit creeped out by his choice of words. "Not the point-" He replied quickly. I sighed, getting ready for all the abuse and experimentation memories to come back from the back of my mind where they should be. "Fine. I'll tell you. Just- no telling the others- alright?" I said sternly, making sure he knew that I truly meant it.

"The others don't even know me and I don't know them, so how am I supposed to? Well- besides from Illusion Steve but that's it." He said with his hands up as if I were a cop and holding a gun up towards him. Don't ask how I know what those things are. Let's just say, I've had my fair share of them. No questions asked. "Alright fine, whatever. I'll tell you all that happened- wait, can't you just scan my memories since your pretty much the shadow of me?" I asked, realizing that he could and that I didn't necessarily have to explain anything. "Yes I could but I don't feel like doing that right now. Plus- it's pretty obvious that you don't remember everything that went on, so if I went through your memories, I wouldn't get every little detail." Shadow lazily said.

"Wha- you do realize that your going to be getting the same information if I tell you, compared to if you just scanned my memories, but whatever, I won't ask. Do you want me to tell you all that happened or just little snippets?" I asked a little bit passive aggressive. "Just tell me all the big details that happened." Shadow replied. "Alright- so, I presume you already know that I'm a dragon. Although I was already a dragon before. The scientists made me into something totally different although I'm not exactly sure of what that may be." I said, trying to remember the times where I had to use that form, although to no avail. "Huh- Illusion Steve seems to be catching on to that as well." Shadow said, cutting me off.

"Ok, then maybe he could help me figure it out or something- I don't know. OH! That reminds me! I need to make a back door to the house!" I exclaimed while running up the stairs and outside. "Wha- HEY! Wait up!" Shadow yelled, running after me although I was already outside by that time. "What was all that about??" He exclaimed once he was up and outside, standing next to me. "Like I said, I need to make a back door to the house, in which I should probably do from the inside since if I do it out here, I could run into something on the other side of this wall." I said, thinking out loud.

I walked around the house and to the front door, quietly opening the door with Shadow following behind. Making sure Illusion Steve, Galaxy Steve, and Rainbow Steve still didn't know that I was up yet. I don't feel like talking to people, and I'm being forced to talk to Shadow. Since he asked about the scientist stuff and what they did.

"Continuing on, one thing that I remember happening is, always being known as Scarlet Sword or Reaper by the civilians of the village that was nearby the lab. Why was I known as such names? Because I was brainwashed and manipulated to be an assassin. Until a little bit before I escaped that wretched place, I was able to get out of their grasp. Thankfully too. I was able to gain back control just in time." I just about finished explaining the main details as I made a back door to the house.

"Oh- and the name Sabre came from the scientists as well." I completely finished explaining as I ran across the room to get more wood for the door. "Huh- so let me ask you this; do you still have those abilities from when you were an assassin?" Shadow asked, letting curiosity get the best of him. "I believe so, yes." I replied while crafting the door and making a hole in the wall where it would go. "would you mind showing me? Mr. Reaper?" Shadow asked in a mocking tone. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Sure I guess." I said, finally placing the door down where the hole was. I made sure that the door wouldn't be right above the basement. It would give me extreme OCD if it was. I looked up to the beams above my head that's connecting each wall. "One key thing to know if you're an assassin is parkour." I said just before jumping up, grabbing the beam and swinging myself over the top of it. Shadow seemed stunned by the move I had just pulled.

"I would leap to the other beam but there's a ceiling just above my head and I don't feel like risking the chance of passing out. Although yes I was taught how to do it." I said while looking up at the ceiling and at the other beam, then back down to Shadow. "Can you show me anything else you can do? Without Illusion, Rainbow, or Galaxy knowing you're awake of course." Shadow asked, still pretty amazed. I nodded my head to let him know that I could show him a few tricks. Did I mention that the beam was a 4 block high jump? I don't think I did but now I have! And no I'm not lying.

Normally people can only jump 1 block high, but with a lot of training, I was able to jump higher than the average person. Which explains why Shadow was so amazed by just a jump up and over a beam. "Honestly, I could honestly just chill up here. It may be dusty but I like it." I said while trying to see how stable this beam is. So far it's holding me up pretty good. No cracks or anything. "Yeah yeah, now get down here and show me what else you've got." Shadow said a little bit passive aggressive. "Alright alright, fine." I said, not wanting to start a fight and attract attention towards me.

I hopped down from the beam and landed on my feet without a stumble or anything. "Ok- is there anything specific you want me to show you?" I asked. "While you were an assassin, were you ever taught how to toss a knife/dagger?" Shadow asked, sounding intrigued. "Ah- yes actually! I was! I'm guessing you want to see me do that?" I asked while walking to the kitchen to grab a knife. "Mhm." Shadow nodded. "As well as any other things you were taught with a knife." He added. "Alright then." I said while grabbing a knife from one of the holders.

I walked over to the living room where we were before to make sure there was enough room to be able to do it. "Alright- I haven't done this in quite a while so don't blame me if I don't get it first try. Even though I kind of have to catch it." I said before throwing the knife up into the air, flipping it a few times and catching it by the handle. "Woah- that's cool." Shadow said amusingly, staring at the knife in my hand. "Hm.... I should do this more often.. it's good to have these skills, y'know?" I said while throwing the knife up into the air again. "Yeah." Shadow replied.

-Ahah, the pain of this chapter is finally over! And now time to suffer some more with the next chapter.. :I Alright- well I'm done talking now.
