What can a man do while rendered helpless to himself?

Pray and hope at least one remembers him? 

Who was he kidding..

The only person he told about being outside is probably enjoying himself.

So, was this the last day he'd live?

Was this how his days ended?

Would Shoto Todoroki survive this?

"Bastard, you heroes think you'll survive until you die from age. Well guess what, Shoto, you're useless to yourself, and everyone around you. Hell, you can't even get over a woman who clearly doesn't want to be with you!" One of the men chuckled.

Shoto felt weak, meaningless even. What was he supposed to do? He could barely mutter up words to talk, he couldn't move at all.

"You know it's rude to ditch a party." The one holding Todoroki's back with his foot explained. 

"Get up" 

The man stepped off of Todoroki, and Todoroki stood up. He couldn't bear to look at anyone or anything.

"Well, are you going to defend yourself. Don't just sit there. You really are useless." The main thug said. 

"I know I am." Shoto mumbles.

"Eh? Speak up, hero."

"I know I'm Useless, I know I have no meaning, but I'm worth nothing to take. You notice we're still at the party area?"

"Why would I care if we're still at the party, you're the one worth something there and in many places."

"You see, that's where you're wrong. I really am worth nothing. You wouldn't be able to get anything out of me. Even killing me, I'd say nothing."

The thug didn't know what to respond with. He was mad.

"You're pissing me off. Don't test me, I'll give you a slow and painful death."

"Even if you do so, you get nothing."

Even though Shoto acted tough, he was worried, very worried.

'Midoriya, please, help..'

"I'll beat you to a pulp!" The thug said. The two other men facing Todoroki cracked their knuckles, preparing for it.

"Go ahead."

The man on the left of the main thug immediately punched Shoto's nose, breaking it. Shoto, instead of showing pained emotions, simply endured it for the time. Though it got harder and harder to bear through every punch and kick.

After a while, Todoroki's legs slowly began to give out, and he fell to the ground.

"Your legs gave out and you're still able to endure everything? You're one tough guy, when it comes to pain at least."

They continued punching him in his weakest spots, all for him to show no emotion towards it.

"Piece of shit, you know this hurts but you won't show your pain, makes me even angrier."

He couldn't talk, they had kicked his throat, and temporarily damaged his vocal cords. He was able to whisper, but didn't want to.

The only words he could even think of was..

'Help me'

So that's what he said, constantly, in his head.

'Help me, please'

Punch.. after punch... kick after kick...

'Someone, anyone, please.'

"You want to die on your friends birthday? I'll kill you!" Said the left thug. The main thug looked at him with a glare.

'Help.. me'

"You're a useless man..... beat him until he's unconscious"

'Midoriya... Help me, please'

Shoto felt numb, he couldn't feel anything, yet managed to stay conscious. It was like he was hanging on a rope about to snap, with him 200 feet in the air. It felt impossible to survive this.

"You've been at this for too long, he's holding up way too much. Go harder."

'Maybe Midoriya will look for me soon..'

The punches felt stronger, the kicks were least expected, and hurt more.

'Will I die?'

"Boss, how about knife play?" One thug said while pulling out a pocket knife.

'I'm bound to die today'

"Cut him twice, one on his left arm, one on his right leg."

'I'm going to die...'

It was hard for the dual-haired man to stay conscious, with all the blood loss, it was harder and harder.

"Continue. He's not giving up, so make him."

'So this is how it all ends for me'

......

Doors creaked, someone yelled, someone very familiar. Was the pain going to end? 

"TODOROKI-"

........

Nothing was left in the darkness.

Was Shoto Todoroki dead?

Was this how his days ended?
