AN: In this chapter, just know, i am not shipping Niki and Minx, not even their smp characters, it is a best friend relationship, and also, Minx just found Sap's dead body, give her a break.

Where did he go wrong? Was meeting new people his mistake? Was putting himself out there a flaw he was supposed to obey? Was confessing his love for someone he just met wrong? Was falling in love in the first place wrong?

He pressed his palms into his cheeks. Looking at the floor. But it wasn't his fault? Was it? It wasn't his fault he wanted to interact for the first time in years. It wasn't his fault he wanted to go outside and meet people. Right...? But it was. It was his fault. Because he wanted to do those things. But, the deaths weren't his fault... right? They couldn't be. It was fate. They were going to die anyway. It was fate.

But can fate be changed?

Can fate be wrong? Can it switch, and alter, and does it? And-

Dream noticed George's worrying, and put his arm around George's shoulders.

"Hey, it's ok. It's not anyone's fault. Blame fate." He seemed to know exactly what George was thinking.

They had gone to Dream's house after Minx found them. Minx sat with Niki on one half of the couch, her head buried into a pillow on Niki's shoulder She had been shaken up, knowing that if she had gotten to his house a minute earlier, he might not be dead. Niki was trying to comfort her, but... it was difficult.

Dream and George were sitting on the other couch. With Dreams arm around George's shoulders and George's head on Dreams shoulder. George barely even knew Sap, let alone his other best friends! So then why did he feel so sad. He knew he would've had to deal with this anyway, and he had tried to not get close to anyone. And the one time he did get close to people, half of them died within a week!

He looked at Niki, who was hugging Minx, who had her eyes closed. But, something was off. She had a tiny smile on her face, barely visible, but there. She opened her eyes and looked up at Niki. Her eyes were still watering and her cheeks had tear stains on them. She put her feet down in the ground and her head on Niki's shoulder, then opened her mouth.

"At least there's an upside to death." She closed her eyes again. "When you die, you see everyone again. Alive or dead. And the good thing about all of us, is that... all of our days happen sorta close together. So we don't have to go all that long without seeing each other." She half-laughed.

George closed his eyes, of course he had to meet people who were 1. All dying soon and 2. All dying around the same time. If life was Halloween, he would never get the treat, and everyone that gives out candy would be laughing at him. All he got was the tricks.

Well, with the exception of something. Someone who was like him. A 'treat' that would never go away. Dream. Dream would never leave, and never go away. He could stay with George forever, through death and through life, and they would never have to worry about time.

"Minx... When is your day?" Niki's voice cut through the silence.

She stayed silent. Then, she looked up at Niki.

"Tomorrow." Niki hugged Minx. More tears streamed down her face. "Hey, it's ok. I may not live through tomorrow, but it's fine. Because all I want... all I need is today."

Niki's eyes widened, and she hugged Minx harder, squeezing her eyes closed.

"It's unfair! Why are all of our days at basically the same time. Bad's a week ago, Sap's, Quackity and Karl's today, Your's tomorrow and... mine in three days. Friday." Niki looked at Dream, then at George. Then back at Minx. "It's stupid."
