CHAPTER 17

A few days had passed since the Quidditch World Cup disaster and still I haven't told anyone about what had happened with Fred. I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone because that would make it real and my brain wasn't ready for that. Thankfully today I was going back to Hogwarts and everything would go back to normal and I could avoid Fred until the end of the year, or try to.

I took my seat next to George, diagonally to Fred, as we boarded the train. It wasn't long before Angelina and Lee joined us. As usual we talked about what we did on our holidays and consequently we ended up talking about the death eaters appearance.

"I cant believe the minister let that happen, last year Sirius Black and now this. What's next?" Said Lee.

"I know right, it's like they want bad things to happen." Responded Fred.

"Enough about that, what do you guys think is happening this year? Why did they ask us for dress robes?" George said.

"I have no clue, but I hope it's something fun." Angelina replied.

"I agree Angie, I need something fun." I said before letting out a sigh. "We're getting close, we better get changed."

With that, Angie and I got up and walked to the nearest bathroom to get our robes on.

"Everything good?" She said to me,

"Why wouldn't it be?"

"Maybe I'm imagining it, but it looks like there's something bothering you."

I stared at her for a few seconds before saying anything, questioning if I should tell her.

"I think I'm just tired, you don't need to worry about me Angie." As much as I wanted I couldn't tell what had happened with Fred.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, now let's get changed."

"Okay, as long as you say you're okay."

When we arrived at Hogwarts everything fell back in place. Everything was like I remembered, except that now there was another living thing in my room. Hekatos wasn't as low maintenance as I had hoped but he cheered me up and did not confuse me like a certain someone did on a daily basis.

The welcome ceremony had gone like every year except for an announcement Dumbuldore made.

"Now . There is, apparently, a rather nasty rumour flying about the school that QUidditch will not be played this year. That rumour, I'm here to tell you ... is absolutely true." Everyone began complaining, shouts from angry students could be heard from all the tables. "Hogwarts will this year play host. There is an explanation. You see, to a legendary event. An event that has not taken place in over one hundred years... The Triwizard Tournament."

"You're Joking!" Said Fred.

"I am not joking, Mr. Weasley. For those of you who do not know, the Triwizard Tournament was originally conceived some seven centuries ago as a way for the three largest European wizardry schools to engage in a series of magical contests while their respective student bodies experienced the benefits of cross-cultural social intercourse." Continued Dumbledore. "In other words : One got to spend an entire year getting to know people who spoke a funny language. Unfortunately due to a distressing high death toll, the Tournament was cancelled. . . until now . Tomorrow, delegations from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magical Arts and the Durmstrang School of Wizardry will journey to Hogwarts . This year, your home will be their home. I ask only that you endeavour to make it a happy one."

Everyone was excited. Not only would this provide entertainment for the whole year but we would get to meet other students from different countries, and maybe some cute boys.

"I can't wait for this year to begin." Angie said to me. I nodded in agreement.

Soon enough beautiful girls dressed in sky blue entered the great hall, synchronised. Some even doing cartwheels and such. Among the girls, there was a very tall woman and I swear i heard Ron say something about her.

"They are all so beautiful, damn." I spoke to Angie.

"I know... All the boys seem to be drooling over them, I can't say I like it." Angie said. From the corner of my eye, I could see her slightly glancing over at George, that girl is so blind.

Back in the common room, everyone was talking about the news Dumbledore had delivered. I was excited not only because this was a once in a lifetime experience, but also because it would take my mind off of things I did not want to be thinking about right now.

"Are you guys dumb? did u not hear Dumbledore when he said there was an age minimum to enter?" Angie was screaming to the twins next to me.

"Yeah, but I'm sure the old man didn't think about everything. We will find a way to trick him." Said Fred. He and George were planning on entering the Triwizard Cup, but as Angie had said they weren't allowed because they were too young.

"And how are you planning to do exactly?" I chimed in, and they all turned to me. It was the first time me and Fred were talking since... well, the incident.

"We are still figuring that out, but I promise, once we know you'll be one of the first to know." George said smiling ear to ear.

"What are you saying? there's no way I'm telling her our plan." Fred complained. "But of course youd wanan know, just say youre obsessed with me." He leaned back on the couch and let out a small chuckle.

"Alright thats my cue, imma head out. I dont even want to start this converssation right now." I said as i got up and went straight to bed.

If i wanted to be able to continue being friends with George and the rest I needed to find a way to get Fred to relax it a bit. I just wished i knew the reason for all of his actions.
