Chapter 2: Halloween

Jake

"Mkay Jake, I have a party to go to tonight so I am going to need you to watch the yard for me. You've done it before but not on a night like this. Just remember.. If any little teens come in here screwing around with this place it is your job to shoo them away. Got?" Jake nodded his head yes. "Good, don't' forget to lock up. see you tomorrow." Jake sat there until he was sure that Paul had left for the night. Today is Halloween, the most active time of the year and Paul has trusted the whole place over to Jake. How exciting. Jake was eager to see all the kids walk by in their little costumes and bags filled with candy. Everyone that passes is always too scared to enter so Jake should be fine. Even the teenagers that call him 'death boy' would never dare to step in the foggy cemetery on halloween night.

When it came to be dark outside Jake decided to walk out of the shed and lean on an old gravestone to sit and watch the gate. He would often look up and listen to the sound of the night. Owls hooting, birds screeching, the wind blowing. Even some of the wolves from the wood behind the cemetery were howling. It really gave a eerie feel to the already spooky night of halloween, alone in a cemetery to watch joyous children walk by. He counted how many ghosts he saw and witches and other common costumes. It was quite fun, even brought a faint smile to his face. A very foreign feeling that quickly vanished once he saw a group of rowdy teenagers walking only to stop in front of the gates. He ran behind the stone as he heard the taunting calls, "Death boy! Yo, Death boy!! Where the hell did you go!? Come back death boy, we have yet to meet you! Oh if you look at us do we turn into stone or just flat out turn deceased huh?! Come on death boy don't be such a bitch!!"

Ash

"Hey Ash," Brian wrapped his arm around the brunette beauty's waist. "How about after we finish all these tricks I take you back home and you can give me a little treat, yeah?" He smiled as he lowered his hand to squeeze her nice little ass that was almost showing in her slutty little red riding hood costume. She squealed and started to giggle as he picked her up to plant a lustful kiss on her lips. "BLAHH! Gross! Can ya'll two kids stop smacking face for two seconds to help me steal candy from these little heathens? God i love halloween." Andy says as he walks down the dark sidewalk with his two good friends. "Your just jealous that you don't have a girl to smack face with Andy," Brian bragged. Andy rolled his eyes, soon the trio came upon a famous cemetery. "Hey Ash, doesn't your dad work there?" She nods, "Yeah, He owns it. But i have never been inside it's-" before the girl could finish Andy interrupts her with an excited whisper. "Oh my god! Do you see that!" Ash squints her eyes beyond the gate to see a shadow of a boy sitting on top one of the graves. "BOO!" Brian squeezes her waist once again and made the freckled girl jump. "Ugh! Brian!" She huffed. "Don't do that!" Brian and Andy bursted out into laughter. "I think that's death boy.." Brian joined his girlfriend in starring at the shadow until it moved away into the darkness of the fog. It was now getting hard to see across the graveyard. "C'mon guys.. lets go." Neither of them moved. Instead Brian started to shout into the yard, "Death boy! Yo, Death boy!! Where the hell did you go!? Come back death boy, we have yet to meet you! Oh if you look at us do we turn into stone or just flat out turn deceased huh?! Come on death boy don't be such a bitch!!" Ash stepped out of the broad boys embrace to punch him in the shoulder. "Brian stop!" Now both boys ignored her and Andy joined in to taunt the scared boy that is now hiding away. "Andy! Brian quite it! He has a name you know!" They both pause to look at the exasperated 16 year old girl who looked mad enough to crack concrete. "Oh yeah? And what would that be?" Andy starts. "What?" Ash looks confused now. "What is death boy's name?" Ash shrugged. "I don'y know.. But it sure as hell is not death boy." "Go find out then." Andy pushes Ash across the gate causing her to fall inside of the cemetery. Her dress falls slightly open at the fall and her white panties shows causing Andy to laugh and Brian to lick his lips at the vulnerable girl. "You guys are dicks!" She yells and gets up only to walk deeper into the fog. "Ash! where are you going?!" Brain yells toward her, he is too scared of the eerie yard to enter into it. She does not answer him. "Ash! Get back here!" He screams.

Jake

"Ash! Get back here!" That is the last shout that Jake hears for a while and he knows what it means. He raises to find a scared girl searching for something. This is the first time another person has crossed this side of the graveyard. Jake moves to the other side and runs deeper into the yard.

Ash

A dark shadow wisps across the land and it sends chills down the fearful girls spine. She raises her hood and continues to walk. "Hello?" She calls hoping that the mysterious boy will show his face.

Jake

"Hello?" The girl calls. Jake knows that he can not hide away from whoever this girl is for long. He was given specific instructions to not let anyone into the cemetery. He has to be brave and do as he is told. He may not like living here but sometimes he feels like the closer he is to death, the closer he is to his loved ones. So, he takes in a deep breath and walks towards her from behind where she can not sense him coming.

Ash

Ash feels a tap on her shoulder and jumps to what feels like 5 miles high out of her socks. She lets out a terrifying scream. She turns quickly to see a pale faced boy with black hair and blue eyes. He has a look of sorrow on his face. They stand there starring at each other for quite some time. Ash's chest is rising and her breath is heavy.

Jake

The girl then crouches down and starts to shake with fear while mumbling what seems like 'please dont hurt me, i am so sorry, please dont hurt me.'

Jake grabs her shoulder to raise her back onto her feet again and her eyes grow wide once more.

Ash

She feels paralyzed from the head down as the pale faced boy whispers..

Jake

"Get out." He says softly to the beautiful girl.

Ash

The panicked girl nods her head and runs for the gates. She is going at such speed that she does not stop until she feels a thud. She has run into her boyfriend Brian and can now feel tears run down her cheeks at the safe feeling of his warmth. "Ash! What happened? What did he do to you?!" She shook her head and continued to cry as she begged for the two boys to take her home. Andy helped them pick her up as they left.

Jake

'What had just happened?' The sad boy thought. 'I didn't mean to make her cry' She was so beautiful, and i hurt her without even touching her. All except for helping her up. Jake stood there with wide eyes and a broken heart. All he does is hurt people. He is a bad person. He has the power to kill with three simple words. A tear falls down his face as he runs to his small couch in his small shed to be alone. Where he belongs. Alone.
