The ice inside your soul
Grows colder with every test
You ignore your heart
And never let mine rest
Who knew that it was you
For who I would fall
Who knew that it was you
To the ends of earth, I would crawl
I take a step, a shallow breath
And whisper all is lost
I look into your cold dark eyes
Your pitch black soul
And at what cost?
What cost do I move each day
Risking all that has brought me joy
Instead of being true,
With my emotions you toy
What has the world brought upon me
A fate that I can't change
A path with twist and turns
All is new
Everything is strange
And yet when I see you
My heart begins to flutter
Even though you have brought me
Nothing more than pain and torture
I look ahead, where I belong
My destiny is sealed
All I have yet to do
Is wait for the reveal
I look ahead where I belong
Do I choose my own path
Or do I simply follow along
