ELIMINATION

''WE WILL NOW BEGIN THE VOTING THAT WILL DETERMINE THE 13 I-LANDERS WHO WILL STAY,'' a male voice announced

the countdown gradually decreased and made each of them uneasy. It was hard for them to vote for each other because they don't want to see them get eliminated. It's just something that it's not easy to decide.

Yuji already decided on whom to vote for; she has no idea about the other applicants, so she can't think carefully. Her only basis is their performance earlier, which makes it nonsense because they can do better than that in the future. 

'who should I vote?'

''stop worrying too much,'' Daniel told her, lying on the bed. They were alone in the room because they are not close to other applicants who made them distance themselves, sunoo was with them earlier, but he went to the kitchen again.

''Why would I worry?'' she snaps. ''If I can just vote you.''

Daniel threw a pillow on her head, ''then I'll just vote you too, then.'' 

''I don't care'' Yuji smacked him hard with a pillow, as Daniel hit her back 

''A VOTE TO DETERMINE THE 13 SURVIVORS OF I-LAND WILL NOW BEGIN''

they both stopped on their tracks as soon as they heard a voice

''right now?'' 

Ni-ki is chosen to get the vote first, and voting followed others. Yuji has begun to vote second to the end, causing her heart to beat faster. 

[ni-ki] I think Yuji lacks strong expression, and she needs to improve that

[Jay] although her performance was good, I still noticed how stiff her facial expressions

[EJ] I think I have to vote for the last unit applicants because, of course, we all have different standards.

[Seon] I am not satisfied with her performance

''it's your turn,'' Daniel told her as he arched a brow ''don't give me that straight face,'' he joked

Yuji took a deep breath as she walks towards the decision room. She felt terrible for voting one of them; she promised herself not to be bothered by things like this because this was a survival show, after all, 

[Yuji] I chose Seon, he trained the longest among us, but I honestly don't see the improvement that they were talking about

[Yuji] I also picked myself...... no reason at all

''THE 13 SURVIVORS OF I-LAND HAS BEEN DETERMINED''

Yuji avoided an eye-contact with each applicant because the thought of sending them out for her is an act of trying to eliminate them. She thinks that the system of sending them to the ground is cruel. She was nervous about what might happen next to her. She tried to crack the bones of her fingers so that she'll be able to focus.

''FROM NOW, THE DROPOUTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED''

she just remained calm while other are gasping in nervous, frightened to get called out, but she was different; she carried a whole straight face while waiting for her name to be called.

The four cards appeared on the screen, as behind them were the chosen dropouts.

Yuji chuckles as she turned to Daniel, who is now squeezing his eyes shut.

''don't worry. The ground is not that bad'', Yuji mocked, sung hoon which was sitting next to her overheard her

''I heard there is no pantry there,''  daniel spat, making her loudly laugh ''stop laughing, would you?''

''THE FIRST TO BE ELIMINATED PARTICIPANT WITH TEN VOTES''

the laugh quickly faded. She was shocked to see a person gets voted with so much number.

''KIM SUNOO ''

she instantly turned to sunoo, who was sitting near Daniel with a disappointment on his face. She can't believe that he predicted what will happen next. However still, she believes that Sunoo had the best vocal and facial expressions among them. She was just shy to emphasize to him that.

''THE SECOND ELIMINATED PARTICIPANT ALSO RECEIVE TEN VOTES''

she was still not convinced about the number of people inside the room trying to send someone on the ground, but she can't do anything about it

''NOH SUNGCHUL''

''I can't do this,'' Daniel worriedly said. The elimination part made them pressured for the upcoming tests.

''THE THIRD ELIMINATED PARTICIPANT RECEIVED NINE VOTES''

''TA-KI''

Yuji releases a deep sigh seeing him getting anxious. The other participants can already feel how heavy the tension was building around them. There was only one left card on the screen. Yuji can't process the things on her mind anymore. She can't be comfortable around this situation

''THE FOURTH ELIMINATED RECEIVED A TOTAL OF SIX VOTES''

''that's me,'' Daniel said and sat in front of Yuji, clasping his two hands. Yuji looked down at him, realizing what he just said

''What?'' he innocently asked

 she pulled his hair up, ''owwwww, what is wrong with you?''

''EJ''

they were both overwhelmed for not hearing their name, same with the other applicants who made it through the next test. They were finally shocked that elimination has ended.

''DROPOUTS, PLEASE MOVE TO THE GROUND''

the others cannot display their emotion if they are happy to pass the elimination or be sad about the dropouts getting a low chance of debuting.

Yuji stared at everyone when she spotted Sunoo picking his bag. She never thought of voting Sunoo out because she remembers how she appreciates him while performing before, she went to her and hugged him, and Daniel followed them.

''I told you,'' Sunoo chuckled, breaking the hug.

''you will return no matter what,'' she seriously said. The small talk a while back means Sunoo a lot since she was the first person to compliment him.

''I will'', he found himself smiling when he replied. He waved his hand to them as they slowly turned the gates, shifting them.

She has to be strong in times like this; that was the lesson she learned. She needs to move on and work harder to remain on her spot. Although she only wants to attain the real her and about his brother's hardships to enter I-LAND, she cannot manage and control the game's setup. All she can do is handle her actions well to survive the show.

'I changed my goal- I WANT TO DEBUT.'
