'INTO THE I-LAND' 1

On the next day, she woke up by the sound of the morning alarm. Her first night as an I-lander was considered the ugliest. She was pretty moody after waking up because of that.

She headed to the bathroom first, changed into new clothes from the item room and made her way to the kitchen, and saw other I-landers there having a conversation. Then, she took some cans of coke and some cereal for her breakfast. Her mom used to scold her for sneaking coke first in the morning, and it made her sad because her mom is nowhere to make her real breakfast.

''Good morning, everyone'', Seon greeted as he walks past the other I-landers

''good morning,'' he said to her. She just smiled in response since she is not in the mood to force herself to greet back.

''PLEASE PROCEED TO LOBBY'' 

through the sudden voice and the first announcement of the day, they all went there. The countdown already stopped zero.

''already?'' Ni-ki said, stuffing bread on his mouth

''it's seven am,'' Daniel groaned ''we should consume this first,'' he said, munching 

she rolled her eyes at the two, ''aren't you guys coming?'' Geonu asked the three of them

to sit before the voice started to explain everything about the tests we will perform, describe each of them on how it works, and prioritize our places because a grounder will replace the eliminated. 

''I-LAND, THE FIRST TEST- signal song.''   

''This is getting started.''

''Woah''

''I'm excited.''

Yuji acknowledged and focused on the screen thoughtfully as the first test appeared in front of them, the line distribution on the left side. Although at the same time, the demo dance practice is played on the right side, Yuji recalled by the main point of scoring while watching. She couldn't think comfortably since it was impossible to reach the 96-100 to have no dropouts because of the unfair lineup on the song. She started to believe in backup plans when something goes wrong.

They must work extra hard to have no dropouts because the scoring is not that easy and straightforward, and she glances around as she reads each reaction. They were amazed by the given test for them.

the music was catchy and has impressive lyrics which happen to be composed and made only for them; I-LANDERS cannot hide the enthusiasm as they observe the song.

The screen went black suddenly after that, it showed a countdown instead for six days,  23 hours, and 1 minute to go and made them groaned in agitation.

Yuji quickly realized that it already started, judging by the short time that they give. 

Making into I-LAND until the end was Yuji's goal; however, she wanted to debut with Daniel no matter the circumstances in the game. Therefore, she stared at Daniel when he soon noticed and turned to her.

''You are a dancer. How about you should lead us'', He suggested

''Why should I?, if I can just teach voluntarily'' she shrugged, Daniel turned to seon

''Hyung, what should we do?'' he asks, starting a conversation between the I-LANDERS. They all shared opinions on how to decide parts according to how they will suit them, and they finally agreed that on learning the choreography first before choosing their claims on the song.

Daniel sat beside Yuji on the floor, ''I can't even memorize the first 20 seconds'' he sang while holding his Ipad.

''the chorus part was hard. Can you teach me that first?'' he asked her

''cook me ramen after.'' 

he breathed in defeat, ''fine.''

they stood up, and Yuji started to teach him the chorus part. It took them 30 minutes to finalize the chorus when Daniel still forget some moves when she showed the dance again. The I-LANDERS watched her in amazement as she danced the chorus part in perfect tune and counts.

''you're good at memorizing'', Heesung complimented

Yuji faced him, ''I'm kind of struggling too.''

''I knew you were a dancer before. My dance instructor made me watch your videos for inspiration'', Yuji was surprised by what he just said. She just smiled as a response.

'so there are people who applied my dance videos for inspiration,' she thought.

The I-LANDERS sat on the ground forming a circle, and will talk about the distribution of the lines.

''Firstly, the most important things are the choreography, each detail, and high notes'', heesung led.

Seon suggested what process will they use to distribute the lines, and everyone accepted the audition that they would make voluntarily and get judged by themselves to prevent conflict and have fair lines. They decided to settle everything on voting right at that moment and could switch at any time.

Most of them recommended Yuji for the center/Part one, but she innocently rejected the idea because she wasn't ready to deal with pressure on her first test. After all, she was aiming for part 3.

Jungwon awkwardly takes it back for raising his hands for part three when he saw Yuji raised hers.

''What's wrong?''sung hoon asked a bit worried, murmuring sitting next to him

Yuji pierced in his direction, making Jungwon quiver in fear and sipping on his bottle of water

At the end of the discussion, they all got their parts; Heesung will do part one, geonu for part two, Yuji with her part three, K got his part four, sung hoon got five, Daniel got seven, Seon got six, Jungwon got eight, jay got nine, Nicholas got ten, NI-KI got eleven, Jake called twelve, youngbin for twelve and Jake for the last part.

Yuji practiced kept on watching her part until midnight. Then, she stood up from her bed and went to the kitchen to get some food. She opened the fridge when she noticed a sandwich spread with a bite. It was the last flavor of her sandwich.

She sat at the table and continued learning her part when she heard a stumbling sound. She rushed to turn the lights on. Her eyes widen when she saw Jungwon lying on the floor, she immediately went to him.

''Are you okay?'' 

''Y-yeah yeah'', he just replied while holding his knees hurt from tripping, moving away from her.
