AHSOKA TANO

Something told Ahsoka that she had to hurry. The Force whispered to her that she had to find the young Twi’lek Healer immediately, or bad things would happen. She picked up her pace from a brisk walk to a run. For the umpteenth time that day, she wished that Anakin was here.

As she neared the other side of the New Jedi Temple, she began to feel around for Amni’s presence in the Force for the second time that day. There was nothing, as she had suspected. But she didn’t think that it was anything bad. Even though she had her suspicions that the Empire was planning some sort of trouble for the New Jedi Order and the Rebel Troopers, they couldn’t infiltrate the Temple so quickly.

So, Ahsoka reasoned, she must be trying to avoid me. But why? What is she hiding?

Suddenly she felt an explosion of Dark energy come racing down the hall. It carried seemingly the whole of the Dark Side with it. She stood corrected. Something bad had happened.

She flattened herself to the ground, avoiding the worst of the strange manifestation, but the whine that accompanied it made her ultra-sensitive lekku and montrals ring. She really hated high-pitched noises. And strangely enough, the Dark energy affected her more than it should have. She was a Jedi, and closer to the Light Side of the Force than anyone, so why was she feeling this way?

The Darkness was gone as quickly as it had come. She stood up, shaking her head to get the last echoes of the whine out of her head, and continued on, instinctively running in the direction the energy had come from.

But she wasn’t prepared for what she was about to find. After a few minutes of jogging, she heard sobbing up ahead of her. She picked up the pace, and in a moment had found the origins of the sound. Ahsoka’s eyes widened. It was Amni!

She had tucked herself behind one of the Temple’s decorative pillars. The poor girl was an unhealthy color, a blue much paler than her usual skin tone. She was curled up in a ball, holding her knees, and rocking back and forth. She was also crying uncontrollably, creating a pitiable picture.

She sat up when Ahsoka came to sit next to her. “What’s wrong, Amni? Why are you crying?” Ahsoka asked, feeling her maternal gene kick in as she put a hand on the twenty-year-old girl’s shoulder.

“Ahsoka, I have something I need to tell you before it’s too late,” Amni said, barely above a whisper. “And you have to promise me you’ll listen.”

SHIMA

Shima walked around her cave slowly, taking in every single detail. She had to make sure to remember every single detail. She would need it in the next stage of her Master’s plan.

Lord Maul had given her the signal to begin crafting her illusion. Although she was far better at fighting and at manipulating the Force, she could still use the Dark Side to create illusions to bring either upon herself or upon others. It was a skill she had developed in the last six years following the fall of the Jedi Order. It wouldn’t be as easy as the others she had done, though. For a realistic touch – a clone of a person – she was going to need DNA. It was a vital part of the trap that they were almost ready to spring on the unsuspecting Order.

With the grace of a predatory animal, she bent slightly to pick up the note that Anakin Skywalker had left for his former padawan. He had written it on a scrap of paper – who even used that anymore? – and the sloping scrawl in Galactic Basic had been simple enough to read. He hadn’t even bothered to code it. It read:

Ahsoka,

I know that you’ll probably have worried to Coruscant and back for me by the time you read this, and I’m sorry about that. I know it won’t get me out of a scolding for when I get back, but it might help my case.

About a year ago, when you were still deep in that coma, I found the Sith holocron from the Jedi Temple in your room. I’ll admit, I was looking for something, but it wasn’t that. It was something of Padme’s that I thought you might have. For a while, I was angry that you had never told me, had never trusted me with the information, but I get it now. As you always have, you were trying to protect me.

I thought that there were secrets inside it that we could use against the Empire, but I was wrong. When I opened it, I think I let something out. It was a presence that I’ve only felt a few times in my life, but I would recognize it anywhere. It’s Darth Maul. Obi-Wan told me that he survived, and I guess that somehow Palpatine found him and trapped his consciousness in the holocron. His body is probably still on Coruscant somewhere only Palpatine knows.

And you won’t know where I went, or why. In case anyone else finds this, it’s because I wanted to see a race again. You’ll know where that is, but I just don’t want anyone else to know where I am. I’ll explain it all later. I know that you’ll be okay, as long as you trust in the Force and stay with the Light Side. I’ll miss you, Snips.

Silently, Shima folded the note again and put it in a secret pocket in her cloak. This information had to stay safe with her. Only she and her Master could know of what happened to the three missing fighters and their occupants.

Soon they would be ready to initiate the final stage of the plan. And the Sith wouldn’t fail.

*Amni is about to spill all... But will Ahsoka finally hear the truth in time? And now no one knows where Anakin has gone. Who will find out first? The Sith, or the Jedi Order? And what will their next course of action be? And a new ally on Tatooine could change everything... You'll find out how in the next thrilling chapter of the Unchronicled Adventures Of Ahsoka Tano!

Get our arms and legs cut off and get too close to a river of lava so you catch fire and burn all over and may the Force be with you,

Sharron
