AHSOKA TANO

“Lux!” Ahsoka said, looking up to the top of the ridge. He stilled looked terrible, and yet he had never looked more alive. She couldn’t help but grin. She loved him so much.

He looked down at her, and smiled her favorite boyish smile, then put his hand up. “Maul!” he called. “Surrender yourself and your apprentice now, and we won’t be forced to harm you!”

Maul barked out a laugh. “Ah yes? You and who’s army?”

Lux did nothing but smile. He raised his fist in the air, then brought his hand down, fingers extended. “CHARGE!!”

The Rebel Trooper forces came washing over the hill, like a flood with good intentions. Readying their blasters and prepping their armor – for now each clone had been fitted with ray shields that would come from cuffs on their wrists – they prepared to fire at Maul.

“Know this, Maul,” Ahsoka said, standing tall. “No Jedi is every alone. We have the will of the Force on our side today. We might not tomorrow, but today you’ve lost. And as long as there’s a chance, I will never stop fighting. Nor will any of us.”

A look of rage beyond description came to his face. She turned around, and saw what he was looking at. It was Obi-Wan, lightsaber at the ready. “Kenobi…” he whispered. “You’ll be sorry, Jedi! I will raise the Sith Empire of times long gone! You will all die! I swear that if it is the last thing I do, YOU WILL ALL DIE!!”

Then he executed a backflip into the air, and landed on the top of a ship, which flew away rapidly as it launched an escape pod into the sand From what Ahsoka could feel, Jinoyar was inside it and clear of the ship. Lux made the motion to open fire, but the Force was strong with whoever the pilot was. Out of the wide spread of lasers that were fired, none were direct hits. It was soon gone.

“Ahsoka!” Lux yelled, half stumbling, half running down the hill. “Are you all right?”

She ran right into his arms, holding on tight. In an interest of privacy, she refrained from kissing him in front of everyone else, but hung onto him like a vine would to a tall, strong tree. He wrapped his arms around her too, pulling her close.

After a long moment, she untangled herself from his embrace and tapped him lightly on the cheek. “You jerk! You had me so worried!”

“You’re welcome,” he said, with a devilish smile.

Suddenly he stumbled again, wincing, and Ahsoka looked down. What she saw made her feel faint for a moment. There was a horrible gash in his leg that was bleeding profusely, and there was a piece of burnt metal – probably from the crash – stuck at its center. She then noticed that there was another one on his forehead. There were remnants of dried blood on one side of his face as a result, but he had cleaned it up pretty well.

“Lux, you’re hurt!” she said. “We need to get you cleaned up!”

Amni appeared out of nowhere, sitting on a speeder. Jinoyar was crumpled in the backseat. She must have gone to get her favorite student the moment the troopers gave the all-clear. “Let me take care of him,” she said seriously. “He’ll be fine, Master. we just need to get him back to the cruisers where I’ll have access to the bacta tanks.”

She nodded, but it took every ounce of mental strength she possessed to keep from going after him. She looked at all of the familiar faces around her: Rex, Cody, Christo, Anakin, Padme, Obi-Wan… and two new faces. A little Force-sensitive blond boy and an older one with dark hair.

“Ahsoka,” Anakin said, hugging the little one, “this is Luke. He was the one who told me that what I was doing earlier was just another one of Maul’s tricks. I was fighting an illusion, and he got me out of it.”

She bent down so that she was eye-level with the Luke. She noticed how much he looked like his father, and smiled. “Then you have my thanks, young Luke.” She looked up at Anakin, who mouthed the word Hayden. She understood what he meant. “Because you told my friend Hayden here, he was able to help me.”

“His name’s not Hayden.” Luke crossed his arms. “It’s Anakin. He’s my father.”

*Anakin has revealed to his son who is father really is. But what consequences could this have on the galaxy as a whole? Has destiny changed its course for our heroes, or will it remain the same? And will Lux get better, or will his injuries prove to be too much to handle? You'll find out in the next amazing chapter of The Unchronicled Adventures Of Ahsoka Tano!
